  1. I wouldnt even dream of it... not that I've seen it in the few times I've been to fenway, but I wouldn't appreciate yanks fans coming to fenway and being boneheads, and I cant fathom giving yankee fans that kind of treatment in their home stadium. You can whore my thread all you want, I dont care since I am a bit of a post whore myself. I'm not 100% sure if we're going to the stadium now, especially since I just spent a boat load of money on more tickets to fenway... yeah I'm dangerous when in front of the computer with a bottle of grey goose & my debit card....
  2. I should win the tickets because I will be sharing them with my friend who is a Yankees fan and it would be nice to have awesome seats at YS with someone I've been friends with since I was in junior high (I'm 26 now) Also, I've never been to Yankee Stadium.
  3. yes, I do remember haha. even with the loss I'm still glad I was there because the place went NUTS when Schil came out and it was incredible. glad to hear you had a good time at fenway sox fan on cape, thanks for the heads up, I'll give it a try.
  4. I figured it would decrease my chances of winning the Fenway one and I'd much rather have those tickets.. haha you have no idea how the idea of field box level seats at Fenway make me feel... all warm and fuzzy inside like I just downed a whole bottle of grey goose.
  5. that's a good way to put it. thanks again everyone for the info... it's still not 100% definite yet, but I think we are going to go. I hope to have a good time but I doubt like hell I'll have the kind of time I have at Fenway when I go there. haha theres a part of me that doesnt want to go to yankee stadium... I'd rather go to Shea, but my friend is a Yankees fan
  6. glad to hear it.. just wish I could be there in person like I was when schilling first came back as a closer... we all know how that turned out still, it was pretty awesome to be there when he first walked to the mound, for the simple fact that fenway went bonkers.
  7. Hahhaa that's what I figured. I plan to stay away from the bleachers haha It would be silly to be disrespectful especially seeing how outnumbered I'm going to be. (even with the people I'm going with... a couple of yankees fans themselves) but thanks.... it should be a good time
  8. I might be in trouble if V-Tek hits another grand slam then, I was at fenway the first time he did it and I lost my voice for the rest of the day kekeke
  9. That is the game we are thinking of going to also The responses in this thread are promising. I don't own any Yankees Suck clothing I told my friend I'd wear my sox cap and she was all, oh I wouldn't even go that far. Would like to wear one of my many V-Tek jerseys also though. Surprising to hear how rowdy the fans are in the bleachers at fenway during sox/yanks games. Well... I guess it isn't actually surprising, but I only went to the one game last month. I sat in the grandstand and didnt see anyone having problems, also some guy was being a little annoying on the T on teh way back and nobody said anything to him either.
  10. ... Im not really sure what to expect if I go. How do red sox fans get treated at yankee stadium? The people at fenway are pretty chill, when I went to the series opener against the yankees last month, I didnt see any yanks fans having a hard time. I hope its the same for yankee stadium, but I dont know being that I've never been there. which is why I need the help any info anyone can pass on to me is appreciated.
  11. I should win the tickets because Fenway Park is my favorite place on earth, and whenever I go there it never fails to put me in a good mood for days afterward Also, I would love it if I could take another die hard Sox fan with me and sit in excellent excellent seats (more often than not I fly solo when I go to games).
  12. what an awesome game.... wells pitched incredibly well i'm hoarse from all the yelling.... i love fenway
  13. I dont think tek really needed a makeover. I dont think he had any crazy amounts of body hair either, at least not that I saw. I might just be biased carson kressley amuses the hell out of me. haha.
  14. sorry man im not too close myself, but I can do boston in a day. but im from a little crappy city in NY, and boston is big and scary hahaha I think its just there for the day.
  15. looking forward to seeing it. just hope i can drag my friend to boston in time to check it out... i think i can...
  16. kind of an old thread but I thought I'd input anyway. The atmosphere at fenway is absolutely intoxicating. every time I go there I wish I didnt have to leave. and move in there. hhaha... its so great. I went once in april and figured maybe i'd go once more and that would be it, but I went last week (total spur of the moment thing), and now I'm going next week, and then again in july, and again in sept and I'll probably be buying more tickets this summer too. I know its a ton of money to be spending, but its a lot of fun and not much more than what I'd be spending on a long vacation this year, and going to fenway always puts me in an excellent mood for days plus I used to smoke a lot of weed and had to quit, and this is even more fun, makes me feel even happier and is perfectly LEGAL. haha. Oh and I buy all my tickets from redsoxtix.com (through ebay usually) they are pretty trustworthy, so thats why I keep going back. for last weeks game though I went to their office and picked up the ticket... I live in NY so its a 3 hr drive and I was pretty tired when I got there. he gives me the price of the ticket (which was much more than $20) and I handed him a $20 and the guy was like, WTF is wrong with you? haha I felt pretty dumb. but handed over my credit card. enough of this rambling I suppose...
  17. I have love for all the Sox... we need Shoppach w/ Mirabelli on the DL. Tek needs a break now and again... I just pray like hell that Tek is catching when I goto Fenway soon... like I said nothing against Shopp, but Varitek is my absolute favorite.
  18. Thanks for the welcome Anyway, the game was fun, it is always fun at Fenway no matter the score. This is my second time this season watching the sox play the orioles @ fenway though and the second time they lost so I hate the O's haha... but at least when we got finally got 3 runs in (I think) the 7th inning it was a lot of fun cheering the team on. and a 9-3 loss isnt as bad as a shutout I suppose. The only time I got really upset was when they pulled Tek and put Shoppach in. like I said Tek is my fave (and w/ Mirabelli being out, I gotta admit he does need some time off once in a while) and I got nothing against a new catcher, but as soon as the switch was made, the bases were loaded w/ 2 out and it was Tek's (now Shoppach's) turn at bat. I would have loved to see Varitek at bat with the bases loaded - if he had homered I would have peed myself. it was still fun, got tickets to a couple more games this season, I swear going to fenway is far too addicting. Thanks again everybody for the help
  19. sorry if that's a dumb question... but I just got tickets to tonight's game and Varitek is my fave. I know he's been catching for wake lately but he had the day off the other day and I know wake usually has mirabelli catching so I wasn't sure if there was going to be a change tonight.
  20. I started wondering if maybe there are people who like both the Red Sox and the Yankees. It seems a bit impossible, that's total baseball schizophrenia. My dad is a Yanks fan and I put on my Sox hat and shirt and his Yankees jacket and walked around saying "Look at me, I'm confuseeedd!!" to answer the question: since I lived in houston for a short while I'll say the astros.
