  1. Actually, I think most of you guys on this board said it would be easy.
  2. The Yankees pitched poorly last night (Mussina did give them a great start, but IMO anything above 4-5 runs is a bad team pitching performance), the Yankees played sloppy defense last night, and they still won, outslugging their opponents. They've done this all year long, and it really doesn't look like it's going to stop . Who's going to quiet the Yankee Bats? Pedro? He said it best himself, 'The Yankees are my daddy'. Arroyo? Wakefield? Lowe? The way I see it, the Red Sox have to get on the board early and often, and keep the crowd out of the game. Once the Yankees get rolling, they don't stop.
  3. How long do they plan on letting Schilling pitch?
  4. Crespowned.
  5. If I had a vote, I'd give it to Tejada.
  6. It depends on the kind of RB you have. If you've got somebody that could break a tackle or two, like Bettis or somebody with size, then you can get away with a crappy offensive line. If you've got a speed RB like Martin or Portis, you're screwed without a defensive line.
  7. I could understand if the question asked "Who would you most rather beat in the ALCS", but honestly, if I were a Red Sox fan, the last team I'd want to see are the F'n Yankees.
  8. But, if you want to get a player like Kazmir, you're going to need to forfeit a very good player in ret...wait a minute. Damnit.
  9. I don't think I'd trade those two for a guy like Glavine either (like I said, Sherman is crazy..)/ If I'm Omar Minaya and I'm looking to trade Glavine, I look no further than Boston. Seems to be an ideal fit for both Glavine and the Sox. I'd be looking to trade Glavine for Mark Bellhorn and Bronson Arroyo..and IMO, even that is kind of farfetched.
  10. You're missing the Bills.
  11. Hey, I'm all for it. I still don't have a huge problem with losing Kazmir .
  12. Actually, I'm fairly certain that Vickformvp04 (mannyformvp's AIM) and van are two different people. They're both from the NY area and they might have similar IPs (is it optimum online?)
  13. I'd love that, it would take the Yanks out of the Beltran race
  14. Time to boot some f***ers and reverse some sim league trades :banned:
  15. This was his first year in which he missed the majority of the season. Even last year he went on the DL a few times played in ~130 games, 152 the previous year, 148 in 2001, 123 in 2000, 124 in 1999 (though I'm not exactly sure if those were as result of injuries).
  16. Young, cheap, damn good. Where's he going?
  17. Personally, I hate Sherman and I think he's a complete moron, but he's good for coming up with some wacky trade scenarios, so wacky they might work. Anyways, here's what he had to say about the Mets today. What does this look like from the Sox standpoint? Can Nixon ever stay healthy, and can Millar adequately replace Mientkiewicz as the Full-time 1B again? Also, it looks like it opens up RF for a free agent acquistion.
  18. Wow, what a bunch of cocky 'sox fans we got here...
  19. ph34r the mullet!!!!!
  20. I think the Red Sox will take this one barring something crazy (but hey, it's not like this team never sees crazy s*** happen ). The Yankees pitching staff is total garbage, and IMO, the underachieving Yanks offense isn't going to cut it either. 36 HR, 106 RBI and .286 AVG from your 25 million dollar shortst..third baseman? The Yanks defense isn't exactly what I would call 'decent' either. But then again, they are the Yankees...
