    I watch looper alot. You don't want him. He is the worst closer in baseball. There's some closers who are good but choke in a big spot.(Jose Mesa) Then there's some who suck, and choke in a big spot.(Looper) It's basically come down to, this team needs 7 runs to win games, but the offense is more than capapble of doing that. For some reason this reminds me of the Suns season last year. Everybody said their style of play would not work in the playoffs. Now everybody's saying that just a good offense isn't going to work in the playoffs. Remains to be seen.

    Yes, it's pretty much useless now, but it still looks pretty awesome. If the yanks did have him, they'd be in first by 8 games in the division. Pedro doesn't suffer the d rays.

    I'm not too worried about this. Consider the options. Mussina goes out there every 5th day and has no control, gives up a bunch of runs and burns the bullpen or you throw in a new starter who will give the yanks a chance. Plus Wang might be coming back in mid sept.

    Haha, whatever you say man. They've won 5 out of their last 6. I classify that as playing well. 5 out of their last 7 after today's loss, but it's still good.

    Yes, I do refer to myself in the third person. It's about that time of year again. Last year's result made me go into exile for a year, but the yankees are playing well again and my confidence is back! Board's a little different, but nothing drastic.
