  1. Link. I'm taking it with a grain of salt, but even still - this is not a f***ing sacrifice of any type.
  2. Didn't Michelle Obama consider it a "sacrifice" to go abroad to pitch for the Olympics to come to Chicago?
  3. And your basis for this statement is...?
  4. Next person to use a personal insult gets a 3-day ban. For the record 26, no matter what he said about Ian Kennedy, he did not attack you, so I would expect that you would not attack him. These: are unnecessary.
  5. I take it back. Our defense is looking fine, but our offense is pathetic. We're playing Clemson, btw, T_D.
  6. And BC picks it right back! Good f***ing defense. What a s***** pass though.
  7. Special teams touchdowns suck. EDIT: Gunnell needs to f***ing hold onto that ball. The pass was a bit high, but it hit him in the hands and you can never allow yourself to tip the ball upwards. Goddamn it.
  8. A lot of people put BC as the bottom of the barrel in the ACC this year, but I just have to disagree. They can absolutely win this conference. I've been to a good amount of practices, went to both games so far - and yes, I know they played Northeastern and Kent State (but they kicked the mother loving s*** out of both teams like they should have) - and I must say Justin Tuggle at QB is looking quite good. He has a good amount of mobility and can HEAVE that ball. Almost every pass he has made hasn't even come close to being picked off, and he hasn't made any poor decisions. He only puts the ball where his receiver can catch it. He reminds me a bit of Tyrod Taylor, except a tad slower, but with a much more accurate/powerful arm. Now, I'm going to wait until after today against Clemson to see what's up, but I do expect BC to kick their s*** in. Since they play in the ACC Atlantic (which is nothing compared to the Coastal, which includes Georgia Tech, Miami, North Carolina, Virginia Tech), I can definitely see us making a third straight trip to the ACC title game. Their running game has only improved since Montel Harris and Josh Haden were true freshmen last year, and were absolutely ridiculous. It takes 3 defenders to bring Montel down every time, and he'll always make 3 extra yards if he gets stuffed at the line. Despite the loss of Brace, Raji, and Herzlich on defense, they still have the same defensive scheme that just shuts the other team down. Spaziani is now the head coach after Jags got the boot, and he has been the defensive coordinator throughout all these years that they've had ridiculous defenses. Now that he's at the head of the whole team now, I expect them to become a bit more of a defensive team with a much-improved offense over last season. Say what you want, but I know their QB situation is better having suffered through a year of Chris f***ing Crane and Dominique Davis. Tuggle is ten times the player either one of those scrubs is, and we went to Tampa last year anyway. LIKE I SAID, I know they've played s*** opponents, but they've done everything they've needed to against them. They've outscored opponents 88-7 in the first two games, but it was 68-0 in the first 5 quarters of the season. Kent State didn't score until the waning moments of the fourth quarter. I could have been unsatisfied with the wins, but I've never walked away from two games against s*** opponents with such confidence. I can't wait to see how this season plays out. BC has some huge games against Florida State at home in 2 weeks, @ Va Tech in 3 weeks, @ Notre Dame in 5 weeks, and home against North Carolina in 9 weeks. Those are all quality opponents, but I definitely think BC can beat each of them. We'll see.
  9. I love Mayweather. He's the f***ing man. Kick the s*** out of JMM.
  10. Opening Day and the final series of the season will be against the Yankees. Both series will be played in Boston. Schedule Link.
  11. Holy s***. Dues are coming, SFOC. I moved into my dorm a couple weeks back and just completely forgot. You know I'm good for it.
  12. If he can't stomach one season in Oakland before being signed by a contender next year, then he's too f***ing emotionally soft.
  13. Honestly? I don't believe that the magnitude of Seymour's loss is greater than what they gained. Certainly you can't replace what Seymour gave them immediately, but they are still a playoff team that can absolutely win the Super Bowl. That alone is why I'm happy with this move. Maintaining contender status while picking up a potential top 10 pick in potentially the first year of the rookie payscale system is absolutely okay in my book. The Pats have been successful in the past without Seymour and have enough guys who can play DE like Adalius Thomas or Derrick Burgess that aren't at the position currently. Both of them could give very close to Seymour production - you don't even have to look at Jarvis Green or Ron Brace as an immediate fill-in. I'd rather shift Thomas to DE and give Banta-Cain more time. Either way, the Pats were going to be giving up some points this year. They have enough of an offense to pick up the defense. This is a good move whether or not it ever so slightly hurts their SB chances. They have absolutely succeeded without Seymour in the past; and now that he's a bit older and a bit slower, they can do it again.
  14. Good s*** Miami. f*** FSU.
  15. I hate that that picture is painted to most Pats fans. It sucks. Oh well. Never used to be that way. :dunno: At this stage in Seymour's career, Jarvis Green can give the same production that he could. It's a great move for the Pats to gain some financial relief and pay Wilfork next year, and in 2011 that first rounder could easily be a top 10 pick. I think in demanding for the 2011 pick, BB knew that the Raiders would not be able to re-sign Seymour given the probable demand among elite contenders for a veteran of that caliber after 2009; thus, any benefits Oakland received from Seymour would not be felt after the 2010 season. I see the Raiders being a bit better this year than 2 years from now simply because they have so much wrong with that team right now that a couple huge plays by Seymour alone could account for a win or two. Couple that with the rookie payscale system possibly going into effect... there may not be any traditional "trading down" for the Pats in 2011. They also must have known something about Seymour's health or were content enough with others' preseason performance to fill-in for him adequately. The Pats have a lot of flexibility, so they can shift Adalius Thomas back to DE if all-else fails and Atully the Hun can get some more playing time. There are many things they can do.
  16. ... they speak Japanese in Tokyo, Japan... You know, the country we bombed the s*** out of? There's your history lesson.
  17. lol, so it makes no sense to say he deserved to get punched in the face. It goes both ways. Right or wrong, the correct thing to do was to not punch him in the face. He was wrong no matter what was said.
