  1. I think Kilo had an avatar once that had the camera catching Beckett combining both the F-word and the C-word. Impressive.
  2. Celtics playing well in the second half. Very nice to see...Ray still having issues but at least he's contributing defensively and has put in some points in the paint. KG is being a monster, and PJ Brown is proving to be quite valuable. And as far as the Spurs go... I hope they weren't expecting any sympathy.
  3. I love it. I absolutely love it. Any boo birds?
  4. I understand. My point though is that his performance is undervalued when compared to a contract that he didn't give himself. I would argue last year that the fans were a little hard on him for booing him despite the issues he was dealing with. I mean, he can say his personal life wasn't affecting him as much as he wants, but I find it very hard to believe that he could consistently take the baseball field each night and be unaffected by his son's condition. Combine that with the adjustment year a player takes, and I'd say he was given a bit of an unfair treatment. I don't think that comparing performance to salary is a good idea. Most players are overpaid anyway. I just have my expectations for a player given their career numbers, and I base his performance as to where his numbers are at the end of the season relative to his career norms. I don't really judge whether or not we got bang for our buck. Sure, the contract was paying way too much for performance that didn't deserve it, but we did end up with a WS title in the end. Go figure. Basically all I'm saying is that I don't use a player's salary to determine whether or not they're "worth" it. It's not my money anyway. Well, I guess it kinda is, but I pay to see a winner play...not a JV squad. How they use that money to put one out there is out of my hands. I guess the only time I really get irritated with salaries is when they pay $9M/yr for Lugo and didn't really upgrade at the position. At least Drew was an upgrade over Nixon.
  5. Is that Drew's fault though, or Theo's? Overpaid, but given the market I wasn't surprised.
  6. ORS...offer sent. Counter it if you would like?
  7. I know that the home team will get most of the calls (and that goes for the Celtics when they're home, too...because I know I have to say that), but the charge that was called on Pierce tonight while LeBron was sliding side to side was absolutely horrendous. It wasn't even a call that could have correctly been called the way it was. It was so obvious that his feet weren't set that at WORSE it should have been a non-call. The refs had swallowed their whistles the entire fourth quarter, and when they finally decide to f***ing make a call, they make the worst possible call at the worst possible time that they could have. Now, I'm not going to pin this loss on just that call, because the Celtics need to stop being pussies and drive to the basket more, but JESUS CHRIST. It gives me goosebumps and freakishly reminds me of Chuck Knoblauch's phantom tag on Jose Offerman. All that being said, I'm not that mad because I set myself up for the loss. Win in Boston.
  8. Aight, as long as the deficit holds, we can at least tie it up with one swing of the bat. I'll take the one run with the way things have been going tonight.
  9. Sherrill is such a f***ing clown.
  10. Let's go Manny. Time to breakthrough. I'm calling a grand slam.
  11. Nice start to the 7th. Let's cash in please.
  12. Welllllllllllllll this is pretty frustrating...
  13. I hope you're right, because if the Cavs win game 5 then the Garden will have seen its last game.
  14. What I noticed is that whenever it was a one-possession game favoring the Cavs, the Celtics took horrible shots or just failed. It was a 3-point lead for the Cavs for quite some time in the 4th if I remember, and the Celts failed to cut the deficit at all. When they finally were down by 5, they'd make a shot to bring it back to one possession. I just don't get it. Cleveland can win a game on the road. The Celtics are going to have to grow a pair and f***ing win in Cleveland. If the Cavs win game 5, we won't see a game in Boston again. The Celtics are certainly making a case to be the worst team that is still in the playoffs. EDIT: Oh, and I might just go wait with YanksHater for Doc Rivers at Logan and beat him senseless. EDIT again: yankshater213: i could coach this team better if i had down syndrome was blind and deaf an dhad no limbs and was a f***ing woman That says it all.
  15. This game is pretty much over. Thank God they have home court, because they aren't going to win on the f***ing road.
  16. They're playing SO MUCH better tonight. Thank God. ....gotta keep it up though.
  17. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat the f*** is goin on? This sucks.
  18. I just have to bump this up one more slot before I lock it. There.
  19. Did Orsillo just say that Lugo is responsible for 11 of the 21 Red Sox errors this season?
