  1. Eh, I'm a Pats fan too, but I would be careful to throw around the term "choker" without it coming back to hit you in the face... Jets/Dolphins game changed to 4:15, after the Pats/Bills game. A lot of people are upset, saying that if the Pats win, the Jets have no path to the playoffs, and Mangini would rather see the Dolphins playing in the playoffs, so he'll purposely lose. IMO, this is utterly ridiculous, because no NFL team purposely loses. Whether or not you're heading to the playoffs, you always play hard to win the game, especially the last game of your season. Those f***ing idiots need to shut the f*** up. Go Jags and Jets.
  2. Furcal to stay with the Dodgers after previous reports had him returning to Atlanta. Link.
  3. So they would rather have Posada or Jeter occupy it instead of Teixeira? Please, by all means, do it.
  4. Why are there so many f***ing idiots registering here recently?
  5. Something tells me that this is a bigger problem than the Cowboys are letting on... but what else is new?
  6. How about Joe Horn and the cell phone? Eh? Eh?
  7. Hahahah we have the same mind? Seems to me like the tropics aren't the reason he doesn't like going to the south.
  8. I refuse to say that the Yanks have the best rotation in baseball until I see AJ pitch consistently and without pulling something every other week. I will also hold off until I see how Joba is as a full-time starter. Depending on what happens from here on out, I think the Sox and Yanks rotations are actually pretty close. Aside from that, I agree with everything else you said, except for the part about the team that signs Tex is essentially the AL East's winner, haha.
  9. No. And quite frankly, I still think they're the 3rd best team in the AL East.
  10. Apparently the Dallas' defense is on Owens' side.
  11. lol take him. Carl Pavano II.
  12. Blue balls. That's the only way to express how I feel.
  13. I almost had you beat Gom. Damn you.
  14. Gotta get through me. And I'm fully intent on keeping you from getting in.
  15. I know that we wouldn't have been playing in the AFC Championship Game without Caldwell... I know Moss dropped the TD. Cassel also threw a pick to kill the game to Timmons, and Taylor should have picked the ball off in the end zone because of how awfully placed the ball was (even though Randy should have caught the TD on the previous play), among others I would find if I re-watched the game. I'm not placing all the blame on Cassel. He did some good things, and he also did some horrific things. All in all, it was a less-than-impressive performance.
  16. The Pats still lose this game with Brady, but they would have scored a f***ing touchdown after the first four minutes and made the game slightly closer instead of an embarrassment. Oh well. If the Pats are to make the playoffs, they better win out - and I think they do. If they lose to one of Seattle, Arizona (despite their good year), Oakland or Buffalo, they deserve to sit out in January. I don't see the Jets losing another game. If they do, it would be huge, because I see it coming from Buffalo or Miami, evening out the overall and divisional records (assuming the Pats and Jets finish 11-5). It then goes to common opponent before conference record. Assuming the Jets lose that one divisional game and the Pats win out, they would have at least a 2-game advantage on the Jets in terms of common opponent (the Jets lost to Oakland, who the Pats would have beaten, and they lost to the Broncos tonight, who the Pats obliterated). So, hopefully the Jets lose one divisional game and finish the year 11-5 tied with the Pats. That would give New England the division. I see Baltimore potentially losing at least two of their last four games. They have an extremely difficult schedule... vs. Redskins, vs. Steelers, @ Cowboys, vs. Jaguars. If they lose two of those and the Pats win out, the Pats get that 6th spot (or the Jets would have it if the above scenario played out with this one). I don't see Indianapolis falling out of a wild card spot. They might lose to Tennessee, but they would still have the tie breaker over the Patriots. They hold on to the 5 slot. Obviously, the Pats need some help to get into the playoffs, but they're very much still in it. If I were a betting man, I would say they would have to take over the Ravens' spot if they hope to play in January. The Dolphins can also complicate things becauuuuuuse, well, they're also 7-5 and face an easy remaining schedule as well.
  17. Agreed. What was Slater doing returning a kick? I barely remember seeing him return kicks at all this season. IT'S f***ING RAINING FOR CHRIST SAKES, AND HE HAD GOTTEN INJURED EARLIER.
  18. I'm glad to see it, but I completely understand the beef that Texas has. This is shaping up to be quite the controversial year. If Mizzou were to beat Oklahoma, that opens up the possibility of having Texas enter the national championship game. However, there could be some qualms about having a team that didn't win its conference championship game in the national championship game, so that's not a given. What is a given is the winner of Alabama/Florida punching a ticket. Personally, and I'm not saying this is what it should be, but I think if Mizzou beats Oklahoma, your national championship game is Alabama/Florida vs. USC. I actually wouldn't complain about that. Not ideal (I actually think it should be Oklahoma vs. Florida - thankfully that's a realistic possibility), but USC would be a better opponent to the SEC than in recent years. I wouldn't mind watching that. I'm just happy that the Big Ten won't be making an appearance. f*** them.
  19. I will be making the trip down to the ACC Championship Game in Tampa to watch my Eagles take on the Hokies. VT is considerably worse than last season, and that's the only reason BC has a chance to win the game. I actually think BC is just better than VT, especially after watching them earlier this season. There was no miracle in that win, unlike last season - BC just played better. Hopefully that trend continues... and hopefully BC doesn't find a way to royally choke like it does seemingly every season. I wish BC traveled better. I have a feeling BC's fan section will be significantly outnumbered. Hokies/Eagles vs. Cincinnati in the Orange Bowl? What a joke of a game compared to what could be instead in a BCS bowl.
