  1. I have a feeling you obtained some of those players from some kids who didn't care about their team anymore. Like the Halladay trade. I dunno though, it is a pretty good team. Is it a head to head league or rotisserie? If it's head to head, how do bye weeks work? You just don't do anything for a week?
  2. I love WMP. He should have played everyday the minute Trot showed he had no power. Thank God for this game. They need this, bad.
  3. WMP > Trot Nixon. Let the WMP era begin. What a cannon.
  4. Foulke has a nice case of vaginitis going, methinks. Boomer looking pretty good through the first, though we've seen this twice before
  5. I love Petey. I wish we still had him, so I'm right on board with you on that one. He's probably my favorite pitcher of all time just because of his sheer dominance in his years on the Sox.
  6. He got traded for Javier Lopez. Remember?
  7. If Clement wasn't such a friggin headcase, we probably could have gotten that done. By the way, I just remembered, I had a dream that Clement was starting tonight's game
  8. Not having Tek back there has hurt everyone, not just Lester. Lester has gone into the 7th twice while he's been up. He got 1 out and then got pulled, and then pitched through the 8th against KC at home. He has to go deeper into games and help our bullpen out a little bit, especially after Wells and Johnson had just pitched the previous two games.
  9. ESPN and WEEI would have a field day tomorrow if there was a mass booing of the team.
  10. Yes, agreed. What's done is done. Deal with it.
  11. Oh ok, I thought you were talking about the whole season. My bad. I agree with you that Lester needs to get his s*** together. Rookie struggles or not, his struggles have gone on long enough.
  12. Actually, Lester has a 3.86 ERA. Beckett is the one that has been disappointing with an ERA of 4.92. He's the one that needs to step up. Wells hasn't pitched enough for me to make a statement, and this goes without saying, but Jason Johnson sucks. Though, Lester needs to get his s*** together. I know he's a rookie, but his last few outings have been horrendous. I have nothing to complain about with Schilling.
  13. Anyone not named Schilling, Ortiz, Manny, or Papelbon (yes, his ERA is still only .9 for christ sakes) is fair game in my opinion. I would boo Tito loudest, just for being stupid.
  14. Oh, I know, I'm just saying the nice way to go about it would be to cheer them and go crazy. I never said I would go the nice way. It would be very hard for me not to boo these suck at lifes right now.
  15. Yeah, I'll give him a welcome, but it's kind of hard to read his posts with the chopped up sentences and such.
  16. Lost his last 5 decisions, hasn't won in 10 outings.
  17. I stand by this trade, and I'd do it again. There is absolutely no way anyone thought we'd be in this situation. As said before, you can never have enough pitching, but look at how WMP has helped this team. He's a huge power threat in the lineup, and how do you think Arroyo would be doing this year in the AL East? Unlike you state it, Arroyo is not great. The NL Central has caught up to him, and he's fading fast. You think he'd be able to stay afloat in the East? Yeah, right. Nixon's days are over.
  18. I'm aware of that, but booing is not what we need, it will just affect them more. Get behind them, and give them the energy to go out there and play. No one wants to play in front of a bunch of booing fans. The better way to show we care is to continue to root them on and go crazy everytime we score. Not booing someone for doing a s*** job.
  19. I hope the fans haven't died down too much. This team needs fan support more than anything, the last thing they need is to have a bunch of pissed off fans not doing much in the stands.
  20. Just got mine today. Thanks Rick!
  21. It'll be interesting to hear Lopez's reception at Fenway after sucking hardcore, with the exception of about 2 at bats.
  22. Post some mojo before you leave. The most random mojo you can think of. Where are your seats?
  23. I don't understand why some people are so high on Zito. Even the year that he won the Cy Young, it didn't belong to him, it belonged to Pedro. Zito would get eaten alive at Fenway with the monster. You can guarantee opposing managers will stack their lineups with right handed hitters to take advantage of Zito as a lefty, and the monster, at the same time. Besides, would you really want to spend 75 million over 5 years on Zito?
  24. I hope a home atmosphere will pump this team up. We need something to spark us, it's really starting to get annoying.
  25. Just win. I have nothing else to say.
