    Nothing. He's dead. Horrible, I know. I just couldn't resist. That was how many years ago? Are you going to tell me that we'd pass up on Willie Mays because of the color of his skin too? I've been trying to find salaries myself actually, but finding an organized set of them is near impossible. If I find one I'll send it your way, Gibson. And yes, Drew's salary is ridiculous. But, the market called for it. In a market where Matthews gets $50M/5 yrs and Meche gets $55M/5 yrs, Drew's contract was bound to be bloated. And what's worse? Matthews is actually earning his dough this year. I think Drew's a very talented player, there's no denying that, but his will to be on the field is the question. He's not a $70M man by any means.

    I actually think the fans were saying "Drewwwwwww" trying to get behind him (at least that's what it was when I went to the game on Wednesday night). They may have turned to boos after he struck out twice with key runners on though, lol. In Boston though, that's the way it is sometimes though. Yeah, it's hypocritical and I hate it when we boo someone then go to cheer for them, but such is the reality of the situation. We boo players that don't live up to what they're supposed to do on the field. It's only May which is why the boos haven't gotten terribly loud yet, but if he continues to put on a sub-par performance in August you'll start to hear them. At least we don't boo players that put up great numbers like in New York with A-Rod
