I would love to get Lilly, it would give us great balance in the rotation between LHP and RHP. It isnt really a stretch either, because I have yet to really hear a great amount of teas going after him

A-Rod is not the best player in the game. He doesnt do nearly as much as Beltran does. A-Rod may be one of the best pure hitters in the game, but he does little more. Carlos Beltran is the best player in all aspects the game, which include power, average, onbase, fielding, speed, stealing instincts, he has it all, there is no question about it. He isnt worth 20 million a year, no one is, but I think that if he cant get that from someone, then goddamnit someone give it to him

What a stupid question? How could the best, and most complete player in baseball today, and perhaps ever, be overrated? Sure, his asking price is way too high, but that doesnt take away from his skill. If someone wants to pay near 200 million to get him, they gotta take the monetary hit, while still getting the best player in the game though. He hits for power, average, gets on base, steals, and fields, five things that I actually dont think anyone else can do. Ichiro is close, but he cant hit for power. There is no way in hell that Carlos Beltran is overrated

I voted yes, like Gertie said, pitching isnt needed, but it would be great to add more. I think if anything it would be a minor acquisition, nothing that big. I really like Lilly, maybe if we could get him that would be good. We would actually have 2 quality LHPs too for the first time in like a while. Its a win/win situation. Our pitching is fine how it is, but it could be better. Why not try to get it better if thye have the rescources to do it?

Why are we all acting like Brown sucks? He has had a great career, one bad year may not mean s***. Hopefully he will continue to pitch bad, but I doubt it. 1. Cubs 2. Yankees 3. Braves 4. Mets 5. Angels 6. Red Sox

In my life, the biggest thing was the NHL Strike... Me being an avid Bruins fan, it really hurts to see the players AND owners acting like douche bags. I had season tickets for like, I dunno 6 or 7 years maybe? and I went to a lot of games, so yeah... it kinda hurts to see no hockey on TV, but what can you do.

Forget about Burnett now, I think. This is a good signing. Minus Zambrano he was the best Cub pitcher. He has a nasty slider. I like it.
