  1. Lol, cute. It is damn near perfect, except for the fact that Schilling is batting. But as of right now, he's a step above Millar. It would suck doubly if he severely injured that ankle of his while batting, wouldnt it?
  2. That's disgusting, steroids or not, that his OPS could climb like that. Pretty soon it'll be up there in the 2 range . Also, Pedro, how did you get it to stay formatted like that? Usually when I post statistics with the code button the formatting messes up and it goes haywire. Griffey will be up later on in this inning.
  3. I know this will get all smushed with formatting and whatnot, but looking at the month of June alone, it is apparent that something is up with Tek. His average is plummeting, and he isn't doing much at all. Has he fallen victim to the Boras curse? Whats the deal? Discuss. 4. Yea, welcome to the site man! What school do you go to if you dont mind me asking?
  5. My love for Trot outweighs my fear for Schilling. Hopefully everything works out for the better.
  6. This really is a shame. Last year, when this was a really really big deal and everyone was arguing over it, I remember thinking that he'd eventually be taken out of there. I guess I may end up being wrong. Personally, I think that Ted wanted to be cremated, as his daughter had said. But rather, the wishes of his bastard son (who put a hitter.com hat on his father during the 99 all star game, remember that?) gets his wishes. And then he dies. Talk about Karma.
  7. So is Clemens *shock* not as good as we thought he was? Can he be faltering in his old age? Was his success just because he was a n00b at the national league?
  8. Doesn't any field named after a Brewery suck? Yea, so anyway, 6-3 Rockies.
  9. Didn't he recently stop the side sessions? I remember hearing that the reason he was so dominant was that he constantly kept his arm warm by throwing on the side. But I also heard that he stopped recently. This lef me to believe, by transitivity, that side sessions make him a stronger pitcher. He should continue with those.
  10. Lakers down a shitload with 7 minutes left. 20 points +. Things are looking good for LA haters.
  11. And as an added bonus, Shoppach has a cool abbreviation! Shoppach = Shopp. Its like we dont need Tek anymore. If Tek we're with Boras I wouldn't really look so heabily upon Shoppach, but Tek is going to be, whether he wants to be or not, a greedy money grubbing bastard. Prospects might be the solution to Boras.
  12. I'm really nervous for his next start. If he goes down, it would be severely unfortunate, especially since Lowe and Pedro are starting to come around.
  13. Did this thread get smaller all of a sudden? I remember it being a lot longer before....
  14. Pedro looks sharp, again. I think we can calm ourselves a little now. Especially sicne he's hitting low-mid 90's with that fastball.
  15. I don't realistically see him going to the sox. We have enough free agent trouble for next year as it is, so why take on another burden? As great as it would be to have "the next mickey mantle" on the team right now, I think we have some other concerns. (our outfield really isnt a weakness)
  16. I just want to thank you again for running this contest. It's an awesome idea. Will there be more to come in the future?
  17. Just as we start to score... so do the dodgers. Dammit. And Weaver was looking so bad!
  18. Ahah! See, he can still get it up there in the low-mid 90s! Lets not freak out now....
  19. Since I'm the official talksox weather man now (right yankshater? ), heres a weather update: There's a severe weather alert for tomorrow, with the warmest weather since 2002 expected (mid 90's about). Not pleasant for a baseball game I guess. I'd come in with the doppler, but theres no rain, so it makes no difference I guess. Err, they just changed it. Uper 80's for this game, and mid 90's for wednesday. Crazy! Mid 90s! I can't take the heat.
  20. Heh, sorry to lower the odds guys, but I'm gonna enter this too.
  21. Seeing Nomar back (if he does indeed play) will be great. Can't wait for this game. And I figured I'd start this a bit early so we can get a good discussion going.
  22. He does indeed sound promising, but then again, so do the first 200 picks. We'll see in 7 years I guess....
  23. Yea. It's a shame that most fans dont realize breakout seasons when they happen right in front of their eyes.
  24. He's 27... And if Randy can pitch a perfect game in his 40's, why can't Bronson pitch one when he's 32? Doubtful, but not unrealistic because of age.
