  1. he grew up in f***ing compton, i think he knows how its done...
  2. this has no written source but on a celtics board someone said that on weei they said there were serious talks between boston and portland on a trade: pierce and banks FOR sha'reefer' rahim-osama-jihad and travis outlaw... danny ainge is apparently a big outlaw fan and i guess wants it to be the outlaw/jefferson show in beantown in the future...
  3. no comment... and to texas guy there is -30 chance u can get non triple face value tickets... EVERY ticket is sold out, even the d-rays games i think and no i didn't get any tickets caus i was away when they went on sale, however i did have luck in last years playoff lottery (game 5 yankee series) so i still got hope
  4. i propose that some1 just sim the rest of the year for the f*** of it to see who wins the ws... no lineup posts or anything just auto sim the whole thing
  5. i didn't like him one bit as a player... he was just a power foward that stood behind the 3 and didn't get rebounds so im glad to see him go.... http://aol.nba.com/suns/news/mccarty_050208.html Suns Acquire McCarty from Celtics Posted: Feb. 8, 2005 The Phoenix Suns continued to bolster its bench by acquiring veteran forward Walter McCarty and an undisclosed amount of cash from the Boston Celtics today in exchange for the 2005 conditional second-round pick the Suns acquired last month from Golden State in a trade for forward Zarko Cabarkapa. The versatile 6-10, 230-pound forward, who spent the last seven-and-a half seasons with Boston after playing his rookie season with the New York Knicks in 1996-97, owns career averages of 5.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 529 games (107 starts). He has a career three-point field goal percentage of .349 and has 421 three-point field goals and 1,208 three-point field goals attempted. “In Walter McCarty we are adding another versatile and experienced veteran player that has developed a reputation as a great teammate,” said Suns President and General Manager Bryan Colangelo. “Walter is long and active, and should provide a real spark off the bench.” In 30 career postseason games (12 starts), McCarty has averaged 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds on .478 shooting from the field. In the 2003 Playoffs, he averaged a career-best 9.9 points and 4.3 rebounds in 35.2 minutes and made starts in eight of the Celtics’ 10 playoff games. Last season McCarty posted averages of 7.9 points (second highest of his career), 3.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 77 games (23 starts). His best statistical season was in 1997-98, his first season in Boston, when he averaged career highs of 9.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 82 games. In 44 games in 2004-05, McCarty was averaging 3.7 points and 1.8 rebounds in 12.6 minutes. McCarty should join the team for Friday’s game vs. Seattle at America West Arena and will wear No. 0 with Phoenix. He was originally selected in the first round of the 1996 NBA Draft (19th overall) by the Knicks after winning a national championship at Kentucky. McCarty, who turned 31 on Feb. 1 and is in his ninth NBA season, is the third NBA veteran over the age of 30 the Suns have acquired since the start of the season. Phoenix, who began the season as the NBA’s youngest team with an average age of 24.3 years, signed 11-year NBA veteran forward Bo Outlaw, 34, on Nov. 8 and traded for 34-year-old swingman Jim Jackson, a 12-year NBA veteran, on Jan. 21. Phoenix (38-11) will play its seventh road game in the last eight contests tonight when the team faces the Sacramento Kings (32-15) at 8 p.m. at ARCO Arena.

  14. ya i hear theyr still goin for delgado even tho they signed beltran and pedro... this is on pace to be the most unenglish lockeroom ever
  15. dan shaugnesdjasjdo is suck a jackass for writing about this, it was not a big deal at all- theo hadn't even heard anything about (as he said on weei this morn)... i don't think luchino had even personaly asked meinckjskldjvich to give the ball back, he just told the press he wanted him to.. so dan shaughenssy is making a big deal out of jack s***
  16. but the point of the trade would be that for the extra money you gain from getting rid of manny's contract you can go out and get 2 VERY good players (drew and beltre)... granted they are both off the market but thats y this isn't gunna happen anymore... the moral is piazza drew and beltre>manny and salaries are equal... thats y theo would do this
  17. i'd like to add a choice: middle tennessee's womens volleyball team. one vote for them right here, biatches
  18. ya i went to an angels game last year and watching vlad and guillen throw home (well not guillen anymore) but anyway watching them throw home was possibly the most amazing baseball thing ive seen... from the warning track to home plate with more accuracy than byung from the mound (oh no i didn't) (oh yes i did)
  19. ya know what would've have been cool? i saw this on peter gamons' article on espn.com... we trade manny for the entire mets farm system and then sign beltre and drew with mannys money... why on earth wouldn't we do that?
  20. i voted for tmac because that was the single most amazing thing i have ever seen in my lifetime. pats, while i am a very avid fan have won be4, people go on strike all the time, the fight- ok that was cool and big but holy s*** 13 pts in 35 seconds? the other team (i foget who) did everything possible to win the game too thats what makes it so amazing- they made EVERY free throw and bucket but tmac just was insane- something that never has nor will ever happen again.
  21. I dont get billy beane, i read moneyball and such but why does he trade two of the big three and look to trade the other one (zito to balt) in three days? i just don't see a method to his madness

  23. was in a car accident last week and spent a couple days in the hospital. but the question is who crashed into him??? answer forthcoming, if you know don't give it away. p.s. its VERY exciting
  24. this is the funniest ESPN baseball expert and devout Red Sox scholar Peter Gammons shocked the baseball world today when he admitted that he has been fabricating trade rumors for years. "I can't hold it inside anymore," a tearful Gammons said during a press conference. "I love baseball, and in all the excitement I feel for the game, I've just gotten carried away. It started small, when I'd report a phony rumor just to have something to say. But lately it has escalated into a problem that I can’t control. Now, I find myself making up rumors that don't even make any sense. Yesterday I said the Red Sox were trying to unload David Ortiz for minor league prospects. Clearly, when you are fabricating rumors that make no sense and are getting little enjoyment out of it, you need help. I am so ashamed." “We had heard whispers in the past,” said an ESPN source. “But recently, things have gotten ugly. When he went on primetime and reported that the Yankees were shopping Derek Jeter to the Twins for a backup catcher, we had no other choice but to take action. Peter is a beloved member of ESPN and the entire baseball community, but sometimes there’s a fine line between fanatical love for the game—and madness. We hope Peter finds help.” ESPN has said that Gammons may keep his job, but he will be prohibited from reporting on any trade rumors for a two-year period. When Gammons concluded the press conference by announcing that the A’s were trading Tim Hudson to the Royals for a utility infielder, he was helped away by two security men.
