  5. Yes, the sox are scared of the Rangers and decided to cancel the game on this perfectly sunny summer's day.

  8. The D-Rays should get him, that way no one will be there to see him achieve whatever fake milestones he'll reach.

  10. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that this game ain't happening.
  11. Welcome to Talksox. I'm sorry to say that I'm not entirely worried about the Blue Jays at this point. It just seems that your pitching is too weak to hold up.
  12. Well Toronto is going to Hell in a handbasket fast, so they really don't worry me as much. Aside from Halladay their pitching is a joke. And SFoC, the board was http://www.nyyfans.com, not YES. You couldn't pay me to read YES, and I doubt I would find any interesting discussion going on there. Blech.
  13. I've been perusing a certain well known yankees message board, and plastered all over the place I see references to a certain changing dynamic between the Red Sox and the yankees. I know we're only 3-1 against them and we still have however many games left to play, but I figured it was worth discussing since yankee fans seem so preoccupied with it. Essentially they're arguing that the Red Sox are now winning games that the yankees used to. Last night was a prime example. I'm trying to stay as far away from this curse thing as possible, but it now seems that whatever used to happen to the Red Sox (star players going down, untimely errors, clutch hits against) is now happening to the yankees. It's too early to make assertions yet, but it seems like the Red Sox have the upper hand this season, at least in the early going. Will this drive the yankees to make some ridiculous "win-now" trade which decimates their farm system? Will the Red Sox collapse a la pre-2004? What caused this paradigm shift? How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?
  14. Schilling is a steed, he don't need to stinkin' Cialis.
  15. We need a "shoot me in the head" smiley.

  19. I retract my previous statement...
  20. At first glance it looks like it's riverside, but I'm not entirely sure.
  21. I can't WAIT until you cry at the end of the season when the Red Sox take the division and you're sitting there with your thumb in your ass screaming "BUT ITS A TIE IN THE LOSS COLUMN!" edit: Although this isn't possible....
  22. Now we need Jerry Remy to join to do color commentary.
  23. This thread could potentially be the longest game thread yet. Let's see if it has the legs...
  24. You should have seen Rivernator saying Schill's hospital visit was due to chlamydia before we knew what had happened.
