I don't understand what is wrong with him, he's had maybe 1 or 2 good appereances this year.

Hmm... the only player who fits those stats are Ramon Ramirez. But he's still very good.

 

In his first 1.1 innings -- 5 earned runs

In his next 10.1 innings -- 3 earned runs.

 

He was great last year until he got overworked, and besides his first three appearances he's been pretty solid.
