Well, here's a thread to keep track of all the cuts that will occur on what an NFL GM referred to as "Bloody" Thursday, assuming a new CBA doesn't get done... SOON.

The Denver Broncos have already cut Trevor Pryce, Mike Anderson and Jeb Putzier, three very big contributors to last season.

I know there have been some others but I don't know them off the top of my head.

Anyone else got any cuts?

Buffalo- S Lawyer Milloy, DL Sam Adams

Denver- RB Mike Anderson, DL Trevor Pryce

Carolina- RB Stephen Davis, DL Brentson Buckner

Miami- S Tebucky Jones, OL Damian McIntosh

Those were all the major ones today there have been several others including Ty Law in the last week or so.

I saw an article today that said the Redskins might have to have 20 rookies on their roster, next year. I never could've imagined anything like this happening in the NFL.

washington has been notorious at giving out big money contracts and now it is catching up to them with all the money they have been throwing around.

New England is expected to cut Poole of course, and my boy Willie McGinest. :( Hopefully like Brown, they end up re-negotiating his contract.

Well they're trying to restructure McGinest last I heard, but if they can't get that done they will have to cut him.

Former Patriots nose tackle Ted Washington has been informed he'll be released by the Raiders if a new collective bargaining agreement isn't reached, according to Washington's agent, Angelo Wright.

Chris Claiborne was also released by the Rams

My guess is Poole and Chad Brown get cut soon. Willie or Rodney could also be cut.

Rodney will NOT get cut, too important to this team plus I haven't heard any speculation that his cap number is large enough to be a real concern. The other 3 are distinct possibilities though.

they are pretty much gone though.....the raiders are way over the cap and those guys are over the hill

True. Iin most cases, the teams were going to cut them anyways, just a PR move. But, this is why the was no massive " Bloody Thursday " .

its looking like it will be bloody sunday. All teams have to be under the cap by tonight at 12. The'll probably be a lot of cuts by 11:30 tonight.

The Oakland Raiders parted ways with quarterback Kerry Collins in a move to get them below the salary cap by Sunday night's deadline. By cutting Collins, the Raiders will save $9.2 million against the salary cap once bonuses are factored into the figures.

The NFL and the NFLPA extended talks for 72 more hours which pushes back free agency a few more days.

NFL owners have approved a six-year extension of the collective bargaining agreement by a vote of 30-2 Wednesday night.

Buffalo and Cincinnati were the two teams to vote against the proposal, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

The agreement concludes weeks of contentious negotiations between the league and the NFL Players' Association. The new extension was expected to add $10 million to the 2006 salary cap, pushing it over $104 million. Without a CBA extension, the 2006 cap would have been $94.5 million.

ESPNEWS reports that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones briefly left the owners' meeting shortly before the 8 p.m. deadline the owners set to decide on the extension and told the waiting throng of reporters that owners were "getting close, getting close," but that it would take about "30 minutes" before anything was known. Jones did not offer any other details.

Earlier Wednesday, the NFL moved back the waiver deadline for teams to get below the salary cap from 9 p.m. ET Wednesday to 11 p.m. ET.
