  1. Hopefully, Abreu will have some good at bats, but taking a hot hitter out of the line-up, to me, makes no sense.
  2. That Notin guy definitely knows his shite.
  3. Short-term memory loss. Actually, not a bad thing if one has been a SOX fan the last few years.
  4. One last thing; the SOX are 1-4 so far on this road trip and they've scored 5 or more runs in all 5 games.
  5. I chose Witt because he plays SS very well, he hits very well and he's young. That's a hard to beat trifecta. Oh, I almost forgot, he's also a fast runner.
  6. Fantastic job by Criswell tonight. Btw, since June 20TH, the Rockies have hit more HR's (45) than any other team in MLB.
  7. I love Duran, but Witt is only 24. What still amazes me is that Devers is only 27. Devers is actually about 2 months younger than Duran.
  8. Very good point. I believe the SOX probably, and I can't prove it, draft more high schoolers than anyone.
  9. Btw, coming into tonight's games, Bobby Witt, Jr is 12-15 since the all-star break. If I was starting a new team and I could pick any player in MLB to be on it, Witt, Jr would be my first pick.
  10. I'm just guessing, but Betts probably would have been a very good CF'r, but the SOX did have Bradley, who was in a class of his own defensively.
  11. Rockies announcers also made a point I totally agree with that the everyday SS is usually the best athlete on the field. They mentioned that during the MLB draft, SS's, more than any other position, are picked mainly because of their athleticism.
  12. That is correct, but it was a discussion of an everyday player excelling at those two positions.
  13. Let's hope that doesn't turn into a problem.
  14. The Rockies' booth was talking about Rafaela and how rare it is for an elite CF to also be a very good SS. The only other player they could think of was Robin Yount. I believe, based on his athleticism, that the oft injured Story would have also been a very good CF'r. I'm sure the same thing would hold true for Betts.
  15. I guess it's a good thing Molina didn't start the game for the Rockies.
  16. O'Neill is doing what a professional hitter should do against a rag arm. Well done, Tyler.
  17. Based on Bryant's injury history, he would have been a perfect fit for the SOX.
  18. Maybe we will see Dom on the mound tonight.
  19. Watching the Mets/Yankems game and discovered our ol' buddy JD is 14 for his last 73 with a slugging % of .295.
  20. Dom Smith or Mr Anderson? That's a tough call. Of course, Cora can't use DOM unless he has a 10 run lead or is behind by 10. With a lesser runs scored game, he wouldn't use Mr. Anderson, unless he was the only one left. With Mr Anderson and Horn on the SOX, it has to be damn scary how bad the pitching must be on the farm.
  21. I agree with Cora's "we have a pretty good team." I also agree with those who say it's not good enough. The 'not good enough' is strictly in the hands of the FO and ownership.
  22. Breslow to an MLB team's GM: "Hey, that RH batter we were discussing for a trade. Ah, nevermind, we won't need him."
  23. Won't get fooled again. Yeah, we will. We always do.
  24. The great turnaround started last Friday.
