    With Nunez and Holt playing 2nd, the SOX are 55-27. I don't believe 2nd base is a problem. Also, the SOX are not going to eat Nunez's salary.

    Agree. Both Lind and Phillips are depth in case of injuries on the SOX.

    Lin was also raking in Pawtucket. Not a true test what they will do in the big show.

    Imho, Pearce was signed because he can play 1st base to perhaps platoon with Moreland and he can also play the OF on the days Cora wants to rest an outfielder. Beni isn't going anywhere.

    DD signing B. Phillips has a lot to do with Pedey. Signing Pearce has nothing to do with Pedey.

    If DD was seriously going after Abreu, why would he trade a prospect for Pearce? DD's main hunt s/b for a RP.

    I believe the SOX will continue the season with Holt/Nunez at 2nd.

    I wouldn't be surprised if Pedey is shut down for the rest of the season.

    It seems B. Phillips was signed to add depth to the 2nd base position in case either Holt or Nunez got injured. I doubt Phillips gets brought up unless an injury occurs.
