  1. This SOX offense is relentless.
  2. Nunez and JBJ back to back. Never posted that before.
  3. Congrats to Cora for giving Nunez the OK to swing on 3-0.
  4. Chris Davis should be the poster boy regarding when long-term contracts go bad.
  5. The O's have the highest team BA since the ASG.
  6. Besides the obvious, another good reason to play the O's is that it won't be televised on ESPN Sunday.
  7. You're right. My bad.
  8. Back in the day, Ned Martin and The Hawk were a good combo in the booth.
  9. A manager would never employ the shift against hitters like Brett and Boggs. One was coached by Charlie Lau and the other by Walt Hriniak, who both believed strongly in hitting to the opposite field.
  10. Ted would never hit to the opposite field unless it was an accident. His theory of hitting was to pull everything. It's just surprising he didn't face the shift even earlier in his career. In fact, it might be that it was only the Guardians under Cronin that implemented the shift against him.
  11. I agree. Orsillo was a damn good play by play guy. NESN's firing of him with no explanation was unclassy as hell. Well, the SOX loss was the Padres' gain.
  12. Remy's the best, followed closely by ECK.
  13. Gomezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
  14. He's working as a late night radio jazz host..
  15. Don't forget Lenny Clarke.
  16. Apologies to POM. He did have 1 win as a starter.
  17. I'd love to see and hear Rice in the booth. I'm surprised that hasn't happened.
  18. The Astros' starting pitching is downright scary. The SOX offense is downright scary. If they meet in the post-season, it will be interesting to say the least.
  19. The SOX now have a winning percentage of .701. That's amazing and they are a very good team, but it doesn't hurt to be in a league that has so many s*** teams.
  20. Never would have happened as a starter.
  21. JBJ never got a shot. A 1-2-3 inning; who saw that coming?
  22. Correction: The last 3 starters pitched 12.2 innings.
  23. In defense of our BP, it's tough to stay rested when the last 3 starters pitched a total of 14 innings.
  24. Well, can't blame that on the butler. MOON's numbers have convinced me; this BP kicks ass.
