  1. I'm just pissed that I didn't say "exit velocity" after it popped into my tiny pea brain! Or did it? Now I can't remember if I actually ever thought it, or is it just so obvious that I think I thought it? Anyway, now I think I might simply be suffering from WPES (Witty Post Envy Syndrome)? Or just MLS (Mid-Life Brain Syndrome)?
  2. I find these threads on Price almost as depressing as the Panda era. In fairness, we all had serious doubts about Pablo from the day of his signing. Everyone who looked critically at his declining numbers & compromised body knew it was likely a mistake. A YUGE mistake. So, we weren't at all surprised when that went south. With Price, we all knew that we had paid too much for a guy who never delivered in the post season, but he was at least a big marquee guy. He might not be your classic ACE, but he should be a dependable '#1' none the less. Healthy or not, Price has been a huge disappointment. More often than not, I personally have less confidence in Price than a good #4. A number 4 like say.... E-Rod, Wright, V-Quez, or just about any other #4 out there, pitching for a quality team. Perhaps not ANY #4, but a decent #4 on a good team. Frankly, I'm tired of the constant talk about amorphous 'possible injuries.' It just gets old, and it seems to be a CONSTANT easy excuse for Price? If the guy IS injured, then where is the surgery? Was there surgery for ANY of the long list of 'injuries' David has 'suffered through' during his Red Sox tenure? I'm just getting tired of it. When exactly do we get to finally declare that Price simply BLOWS with respect to his contract? Hell. Just have surgery, get 'healthy,' then opt out of your contract. Take what the market will bear (bare.... you pick). Do I think the Sox are better with a good David Price? Absolutely. Would I prefer that the excuses stop, & Price pitches as a GOOD #4, who is capable of giving the Sox 7 innings w 3 ER'S against decent / good competition? THAT would be f***ing fantastic! Otherwise, I'd just as soon save Price for teams like Toronto or Baltimore. Pitch V-Quez & E-Rod in the Yankee series & move on.
  3. You see, this makes far too much sense to get any play. Yes. They clearly rushed Devers because they were not going to pay a dime more to bail out the Panda deal. Now, where Moon goes wrong is not realizing, or accepting this. I do, and just suck up the inevitable learning curve lumps. It sucks, but I figure he wins us some games with his bat???? It is what it is. Yes. Probably would make more sense to sign a Moose? BUT . . . The Sox are also seriously looking at unloading Hanley.... Turns out, we may not want to unload a semi-resurgent Hanley. I personally like the VERY REASONABLE bat & D of Mooreland over a Moose. Rushing Devers was a big mistake, but a mistake we didn't have the luxury of not making. I just hope we don't f*** the kid up , exposing his learning curve to the world?
  4. So long s the Sox keep winning, there really isn't a problem. True, Vaz, Sandy, & JBJ are off to a s*** start with the bat. No doubt about it. BUT... All 3 had acceptable seasons last year. I am a bit concerned with Vaz's weight? I'm not sure, but it looks to me as though he put on a good deal of weight? JBJ is worth waiting out! Devers DESPERATELY NEEDS TO slow his game down! His major problem. That, & footwork!! The Sox will be fine otherwise! As for the idea of Devers DHing? Not in a million years! It ain't gonna happen! Nor should it.

  6. Sorry ! That's ju s t how I see it. No f***ing worries! I'm ok with Sale, Porcello, V-Quez, Pom, E-Rod, & Wright.
  7. Amorphous tingling . . . . .
  8. My prediction .... If Price gets ROCKED, which is likely, he goes on the DL for 3 months ? ? ?
  9. All eyes on price
  10. Weird fact Sandy is said to have been working with Panda in the off-season on his pitching. In return, Pablo has been working with Sandy on his speed game.
  11. My bad! Sandy is said to have had the green light on that go to 3rd. Apparently, he has even been taking on Kelly and Swi in 100 yd dash drills? Whodathunkit?
  12. Rumor has it, Sandy has been working with Mookie on his speed game.... Highly underrated !
  13. Now that's funny
  14. It seems that you are right? I just don't know for sure. We will see. Maybe more Pollo & cerveza?

  16. Devers will of course get better. The question, as always, does the kid have the sack to WORK at it. I love the kid, but I have no idea about his work ethic? I just don't know? Anybody have info on the kid?
  17. f***ing Bruins have their heads up their arsses
  18. That was going to be juggernaut, with 2 balls on him, but ...., BAM!
  19. No need to say thank you! It's just what I do.
  20. Clearly my mocking works
  21. I would pitch around this jug.... WTF
  22. Too bad! JBJ WAS DUE!
  23. Oh yeh Jerry! He's gonna do some damage all right!
  24. Now that's some f***ing heads up play by Texas. The throw over to 1st, keeping Sandy (aka Sand storm speed) close to 1st. Finally . . . Swi gets the big hit to right. Unfortunately, Sandy being held close to 1st gets him cut down at 3rd. I would have been hesitant to send Mookie to 3rd on that hit, but Speedster Sandy had a legit shot at it, but for that KEY throw over to 1st. Now that's great f***ing baseball by Texas! Hats off!
