  1. I like this deal a lot for the Yankees, as I said before two lottery tickets plus Mateo Gray - If he can adjust to Yankee Stadium and stay healthy this is a steal for the Yankees Fowler - Very unfortunate and heartbreaking what happened to this kid, all feelings aside the type of injury he had is serious and career threatening it's very hard to tell if he will recover to his previous form, this guy without the speed is average at best, even with the speed he might be only a regular major leaguer or a 4th outfielder. I really hope he fully recovers, he is a hard worker and you never bet against those guys Kap - All the talent in the world, he has a better chance to recover, TJ has been almost a routine operation lately, still some never recover (about 15%), this guy is a true #1 SP prospect he could be the best value the A's got in this deal Mateo - A blazing speed, developing power but with some big makeup issues, I think the Yanks elevated his value in the last month by promoting him to AA, If he puts everything together he's an above average ML player, I have serous doubts with him After looking at this trade I love that Cashman didn't trade Florial and was able to sell high on Mateo, at this moment it looks like a huge win for the Yankees
  2. I'm guessing Mateo + Acevedo + 1 mid level + 1 low level I don't think he will deal Florial after trading Rutherford
  3. I don't think they will get Gray, i think Cashman let this rumor to fly while he's preparing something else
  4. It looks like the A's are asking for Florial as the center piece of the deal, I don't like it at all, Gray is injury prone and Alonso is justa rental; in the other side Florial, I believe, will be a superstar, probably top 10 prospect in all baseball this time next year, besides they traded Rutherford because of him, so I hope they don't trade him
  5. I don't think so, Cashman always been high on Frazier; I believe the one gone would be Fowler
  6. They will be adding the best of them for sure, my point is that they are not done dealing, they need to clear more space for the good ones and the only way to do that is to clear space in the current 40
  7. I had my doubts before calling him up, but he's really fun to watch. He could be a monster in that lineup and the energy he brings to the game is amazing
  8. I saw in another site a list of the next 10 players which will be Rule 5 candidates for this winter, some of them are only trade bait, but some are very interesting and solid prospects: 1: Domingo Acevedo– RHP big powerful arm can touch 103MPH 2: Albert Abreu– RHP reaches 100 MPH (DL) 3: Zack Littell– RHP Low 90's fastball Good control 4: Billy McKinney– OF 5: Thairo Estrada– IF Contact hitter, good glove blocked in the organization 6: JP Feyereisen– Hard-throwing reliever. can touch 100MPH 7: Nestor Cortes– LHP 8: Abiatal Avelino– IF - Obvious trade candidate also blocked in the organization 9: Daniel Camarena– LHP 10: Rashad Crawford– OF The ones I'd like to protect are the first three, in order to do that another trade with pieces from the ML team needs to happen to make room for them
  9. I just saw in a different site, that it might be another deal coming between the Yanks and the white sox, sending Abreu to the Yankees, no word yet of who might be included in the deal from the Yankees, I assume Headley +prospects +some cash to offset Headley salary, it makes sense from the Yankees perspective, not sure from the other side. The Yankees need a 1st base and they might be loosing several interesting players to the rule 5 this winter, I know is wishful thinking but I like it Pure speculation as of now
  10. By the way, I hate to see Rutherford go. But we have Florial in the minors, keep an eye on this guy I believe he will be a top 10 prospect in all baseball next year
  11. Hey Moon, long time no chat (hope you remember me from BDC) Even with Frazier's history in the second half he is an upgrade from what we currently have, I wouldn't said the Yanks "overpaid", it was a a good trade, too many are focusing on him but the real gain was the BP, if Chapman/Betances can go back to their dominant versions, it will be game over after 5 or 6 innings
  12. New at this forum, used to post a lot in another RS forum now closed About the topic, Rosenthal suggested the NYY might trade Betances +others as a three team package for a top of the rotation arm like Sonny G. from the A's, sounds interesting, but with Betances struggling right now they would be selling low on him. What do you think?
