I get he get's this years money. There is no way he sees 22 mil next year though. For some reason I was just kind of trying to be in the head of someone who lost close to 20 million dollars from one call.

So how does that work? I guess the Sox FO called Hanley's agent and breaks the news and goes over any leagal jargon needed, then the agent calls Hanley and tells him no to show up today? I liked Hanley so I don't want to sound like I'm rubbing it in, but dang. He just lost a ton of money today.

This was seriously a very good move IMO. Hanley milked that shoulder injury for too long (which I bought until this year.). Presto blammo. save 20 mil for next year. Better watch out for Cora, him saying I really like you as a player kind of seems like the Italian Mafia's kiss of death now.

At this point I can't think out of the box like that. I'd say either is a very good option. Then we start talking about Kimbrell being available tomorrow instead of not being available. Lot's of variables.

I was thinking if I had to face an MLB pitcher for an inning, he would be the last I would choose. His heat even looks heavier than other people hitting high 90 and the slider/curve isn't fair.

Was just going to say this. Win or lose this, if keeps this kind of workhorse good pitching going, it's key to a good season. And that his elbow doesn't explode.

$24 dollar tickets on the Rays site for this game. You could pretty much pick your seat for that. Still seems a bit high for some reason, maybe cause the place looks almost empty.
