Not washed up, just found out and old. I mean, he's thirty eight with four years left on his contract; it's kind of the Yankees' fault for signing him to that big of an extension.
Yeah, sorry, but the Sox were on Uptons no-trade list and he's not actually that good; if it was someone like Giancarlo Stanton it would be a different story.
As a matter of fact, the Red Sox won the 1903 World Series, the first ever played, despite not having Babe Ruth on the team. But I still agree that the 2004 one is the best.
I'm sorry, but being good at professional sports does not make you "the best!" The original argument going for LeBron is so wrong because he only plays one sport and isn't an all-around athlete! Bo Jackson is definitely an excellent player, no doubt about it, but his overall athleticism just doesn't compare.
Sorry, but I have to go with Thorpe; the pentathlon and decathlon were his sports, and he set the world record in both by A LOT... even if that's not a major sport he's still amazingly athletic.
Jones would be a good option if the Pirates would give him up, but you'd think that if he was available he would have come over in the Hanrahan trade for something else.
So there've been some rumors about the Sox trading for a lefty first baseman to complement Napoli, but who could it be? Some people suggest Smoak, but lets be honest: he's been awful. People say that he'll get better, but where's the evidence for that? Any other lefty first basemen I'm overlooking? Because i assume in the absence of a trade Boston is planning to try out Nava at first.
Hi everyone, I'm a huge Red Sox fan with a blog that's a bit inactive at the moment, but I'm glad to be here. Has anyone ever read the novel Summer of '49?
