  1. It would be intriguing to see what Hosmer and Gordon could do with the Green Monster. However, I would not want to give up signifigant prospects for them
  2. I think the sox should take a hard look at adding a pitcher like Shaun Marcum or even seeing if the Brewers would be interested in a trade involving Yovani Gollardo
  3. Justin Smoak would be a nice change of scenery guy for the Sox. He might be able to live up to his high prospect status due to the friendly confines of Fenway Park. Plus, recent players who have left Seattle have gone on to have a rejuvenated career. (Adrian Beltre with Red Sox and Rangers Ichiro with Yankees) Also the Mariners would not be in the position to ask for top prospects for Smoak
  4. This is a step in the right direction due to the familiarity that Farrel and Lovullo have with each other. People were even considering Luvollo a manager candidate for this year. This can only strengthen the leadership in the clubhouse.
  5. Justin Upton has a lot more value than Andrus the Diamondbacks would be better off giving Stephen Drew a short term deal because he is better than Andrus
  6. John Henry should grow a pair and fire LL
  7. Maybe a change of scenery will do well for Smoak he played down the cape and I got the chance to see him play. Seattle swallows up offensive numbers from players. If the sox get him, hopefully he can produce.
  8. I also like Dave Duncan
  9. How so? He is also a former player and 5 time all star they could go the route that the cards and white sox did with mike matheny and robin ventura respectively
  10. I think Wallach might have an edge due to his familiarity with the prospects the Sox received in the megadeal with the dodgers since he was the albuquerque manager for them
  11. I would prefer a trade for Ike Davis than Smoak. A lot more power who has more potential when it comes to playing at Fenway Park
  12. guys dont worry the pitching staff will be fine because John Lackey is coming back. Lol.
  13. Pedro as a pitching coach would be intriguing but I do not think Pedro would be up for the daily grind that it brings
  14. It should be the former cardinals pitching coach dave duncan. He seems to always maximize his pitchers value with the likes of Joel Pineiro and Kyle Lohse
  15. 98.5 the sports hub only mentioned briefly
  16. Update: Recent talk of the Sox talking to Rangers about trading Ellsbury for their ss Elvis Andrus. This could possible end the hole that the Sox have had ever since Nomar left.
  17. I would much rather prefer the Red Sox trade Ellsbury rather than let him walk in free agency due to the fact that Boras is his agent and knowing him due to past and current clients (ie. JD Drew, Strasburg) he will ask for the moon and stars and will never suggest that his client sign a contract extension in the middle of the year. Boras always waits until the offseason to deal with contract matters. With that out of the way, the media has always linked Ellsbury's name as a trading chip for Seattle's Felix Hernandez, whom is off the market according to a source with the Mariners organization. The Red Sox will not retain Ellsbury and they should trade him. What I am interested in finding out is how the rest of the league values him and what he could bring back to the Sox.
  18. Hanley Ramirez looked like a stud in Miami for a few years but has since tailed off plus we won a world series with the beckett and lowell trade
  19. Interesting to see the sox interview the dodgers third base coach who was also the AAA coach of the dodgers affiliate Albuequerque team. He will have familiarity with the prospects the red sox received in the august megadeal that sent allen webster jerry sands ivan de jesus and ruby de la rosa. Also, this reminds me of the unfamiliarity that the average fans have of a guy like Wallach when Francona stepped in to take the job in 03. This also means that Cherington is not about all te hype that the media has portrayed on the favorite managerial candidate John Farrell
  20. hey everyone, my name is Sean. I am from Boston but currently in college in new york. Luckily, there are some mets fans here haha.
