    I think it's safe to say that whatever the Red Sox said in March, they didn't expect to be in fourth place and 9 games out of first place. And by the way, Breslow is definitely not a lefty specialist. His numbers this year, his numbers last year and is career numbers are all better vs. righties than lefties.

    I would say it matters very much considering he's a prospect and we're a rebuilding team. If you're only into the big name guys though that's cool.

    There's no such thing as a "pressing need" on a .500 team. If we had a chance of contending, then by all means I'd say give up some prospects to improve the team.

    I'm still curious why we're calling up Lavarnway if we didn't trade one of our catchers. I have a feeling there are more moves to come, but they will be minor.
