Fox Sports sucks. They've hijacked another game. Glad I pay MLB and DirecTV all this money so Fox can steal games from me. *******s. -
Still, this loss lands squarely in Bard's lap because of that ridiculous first inning. Maybe he forgot to warm up before the game started.

However it works out, I'd rather he be gone as soon as possible. Carrying his dead ass through the next few years wouldn't really be worth the schadenfreude of watching him pitch for the league minimum.

Not that I'm doubting you, but please explain. You mean they pay him peanuts but still have to carry his normal salary for the lux tax?

I believe Lackey's contract says if he has TJ surgery that they have the option for a 6th year at the league minimum. It would almost be worth keeping him around just to see him pitch for peanuts for a year. (Peanuts being a relative term here. I would love to be earning the league minimum.)
