Sox fan for 40 years in Oklahoma! Not many of us around here, tons of Yankee Drones though!
Watched Yaz play on TV one Saturday and from that day on I was hooked on the Red Sox. Copied Yaz's batting style, only used Yaz endorsed gloves and bats etc.... Then I grew up and passed the fever onto my offspring!
We've caught the Sox each year for the past decade, alternating between the Rangers and Royals. Just completed this years trip to KC and left there wondering WTF! I was so pissed after last September's beer and chicken fiasco I was considering cancelling our annual trip. Kids talked me into going and it didn't take much persuading, because I still Love the Bastards!
Went up a day early hoping to see the Royals beat down the Yankees, that didn't happen.
Hoping for a Sox sweep, that didn't happen.
Hoping for a series win, that didn't happen. Bard pitched his butt off, he was left in 3 batters too long.
Hoping for a glimmer of hope for the season, that didn't happen.
