  1. Bradley's a slower Denard Span.
  2. Reddick might not be the best player Oakland got in that trade if Miles Head keeps building on what he did in 2012.
  3. Which long term contracts besides Greinke's? Plus, they don't have a flood of blue chip prospects in AA and AAA that will infuse this team with star talent in the coming years. Outside of Xander, Barnes and maybe Webster that is.
  4. Further proves why Ben's not cut out to be the GM of the Boston Red Sox. The guy's a great talent evaluator, but that's where it ends with Ben. The Royals would've done this deal a week ago for Lester which would have given Boston a 3-4 of Xander and Myers for years to come but Ben fell asleep at the wheel. But hey, at-least he got Victorino before team X did.
  5. -Lester and Ells to ATL for Delgado, Tehran and prospects -Crawford and a prospect to Miami for Reyes -Beckett, Ross and $12m to Texas for a package of prospects that include Martin Perez, Leonys Martin and/or Cody Buckel. -Offer Buchholz and Middlebrooks for Felix Hernandez. Can't hurt to ask. Ben needs to shake things up for the future, if this team goes into 2013 with a rotation of Lester, Buchholz, Beckett, Lackey and Doubront the little interest ppl have in this team will vanish.
  6. This guy makes the J.D Drew deal look like a bargain. We should thank Theo for making this mess and not being man enough to clean it up
  7. You really agree on a player telling his manager that things aren't done like that around here when that same player was part of the team that was part of the biggest collapse of all time? These players are used to Tito babying them to sleep every night, what Pedroia said further proves that they ran the asylum when Tito was manager so it's not a bad thing if Valentine stirs the pot a little.
  8. 1. Crawford 2. pedroia 3. ellsbury 4. AGon 5. http://blog.tastebuds.fm/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/worstalbumcovers04.jpeg 6. Ortiz 7. Lavarnway 8. Ross 9. Aviles

  10. Bard didn't do too good starting in the minors because the sox toyed around with his mechanics. I think his success has more to do with him going back to his old ways in the Arizona Fall League than it does with him going to the pen, that and his secondary pitches taking a big leap from AA on. I see him as AJ Burnett 2.0 stuff-wise and if healthy I see him having a similar season to the one AJ had in 2007.
  11. Edwin Jackson's a better pitcher than he was in Tampa, seems he's starting to work out his control issues as he's entering his prime. 4X$10-11-12m for 200ip from your #4 who has plus stuff is a bargain. It would give the sox a young front 4 which in a few years can be Lester, Buchholz, Jackson, Barnes and Ranaudo.
  12. I don't know about Oswalt. IMO Edwin Jackson's the best deal out there and would be a steal for 4X$10-$11m. Rotation 1. Lester 2. Beckett 3. Buchholz 4. Jackson 5. Jeff Francis/Aceves Bullpen CL Bard -- Melancon -- Jenks -- Aceves -- Zumaya -- Morales
