  1. i couldnt agree with you more jung and i dont think lucchino has the greatest baseball mindset ever which is not a good thing
  2. im from maui going to school in oahu, any hospitality jobs out in boston id totally be down to move up there and work in some popular hotel scenes hahaha
  3. I dont think its that much of a pipe dream and it could be a reality... Ben knows Theo really wants him next year as a coach for the Cubs so why not go after him the year before throw some big figures at him and we got ourselves a good manager, I would like to see either Sandberg, Alomar, or Martinez... If it was a few years back when the phillies looked to be in their unstoppable phase i would think Mackanin would have more weight but with the way phillies have finished over the last two seasons Im not as keen on him taking over
  4. Red Sox bench coach DeMarlo Hale, Cleveland Guardians bench coach Sandy Alomar Jr., Philadelphia Phillies Triple-A manager Ryne Sandberg, Tampa Bay Rays bench coach Dave Martinez and Phillies bench coach Pete Mackanin. These are all names mentioned in a article from ESPN and I think all but Hale would be a good choice dot get me wrong I like Hale but we need new if he was part if management letting the team slack off i dont think he would have much control over the team as manager
  5. Hearing a lot of names floating around out there any one have inside news as to who Ben feels would be a good coach to whip this team back into championship form?
  6. I dont think we need to get rid of tek he is a great asset with his knowledge of the staff but he needs to play way less next year as for wake please retire
  7. for some reason we went wrong in the offseason when lackey was a free agent because he was most definitely not top of the free agent list
  8. even letting felix doubront get more experience over bedard and lackeys final few starts would have been better
  9. I agree with meh this is why i said we should have kept andrew miller in over lackey
  10. Teams are not as inclined to pick up an option off any pitcher who just had a major surgery
  11. when u make it to hawaii ill show you around but when i make it to boston i hope the peeps up in here show me a good time as well
  12. not too sure which of these pitchers are on a low salary cap team which would not be able to afford a good pitcher because im too busy playing black ops to research this so im sure someone else will disect this list haha and figure out who on this list would be worthy of playing in boston
  13. heres the list of 2013 that ben could either try to trade for and give the prior team something worth trading for Scott Baker * Joe Blanton Matt Cain Fausto Carmona * Kevin Correia John Danks Jorge De La Rosa * R.A. Dickey * Scott Feldman * Gavin Floyd * Zack Greinke Jeremy Guthrie Cole Hamels Dan Haren * Tim Hudson * Colby Lewis Francisco Liriano Kyle Lohse Derek Lowe Shaun Marcum Daisuke Matsuzaka Brandon McCarthy Brett Myers * Carl Pavano Jake Peavy * Anibal Sanchez Jonathan Sanchez Ervin Santana * Joe Saunders James Shields * Jake Westbrook * Randy Wolf * Carlos Zambrano *
  14. Heres a list of A LOT of good relief pitchers who will be free agents... im liking this list and hope Ben is able to go on a shopping spree for our bullpen Relief Pitchers Danys Baez PHI Miguel Batista STL Matt Belisle COL Heath Bell SD Rafael Betancourt COL Blaine Boyer Jonathan Broxton LAD Shawn Camp TOR Matt Capps MIN Todd Coffey MIL Clay Condrey MIN Francisco Cordero CIN * Lance Cormier TB Juan Cruz TB Octavio Dotel STL * Kyle Farnsworth TB * Randy Flores NYY Frank Francisco TOR Ryan Franklin STL Jason Frasor CWS * Chad Gaudin WAS Mike Gonzalez TEX John Grabow CHC LaTroy Hawkins MIL Brad Lidge PHI * Scott Linebrink ATL Javier Lopez SF Ryan Madson PHI Damaso Marte NYY * Sergio Mitre NYY Joe Nathan MIN * Hideki Okajima BOS Darren Oliver TEX Jonathan Papelbon BOS Joel Peralta TB Chad Qualls SD * Jon Rauch TOR * Chris Ray TEX Dennys Reyes BOS Arthur Rhodes TEX * Fernando Rodney LAA Francisco Rodriguez MIL George Sherrill ATL Rafael Soriano NYY (may opt out) Brian Tallet TOR Koji Uehara TEX * Jose Valverde DET Tyler Walker WAS Kerry Wood CHC Jamey Wright SEA Michael Wuertz OAK Joel Zumaya DET
  15. Ben Cherington is a real classy guy held a great press conference and is really lucky to inherit the team in the shape that he did... not much real changes need to be made but im glad he said they will address what they will because some of it is a must
  16. Oddly enough im probably one of the few sox fans stranded as far away as possible from my passion of the redsox I know im not alone in Hawaii with redsox fans but not much Redsox fans here that were born here... Ive yet to make it to boston and watch a game ive been to the east coast and watched a few random games marniers vs. rangers giants vs cubs but before i die i will sit in fenway and cheer for the sox this is for sure  before i introduced myself i kinda started to post so doing things backwards right now but thats how us hawaiians do lol we are too relaxed to do things right the first time anyways its great to finally be able to share my opinion on topics and get feed back that isnt a direct form of hate on our sox so i would like to thank everyone for keeping me connected
  17. along with this starting pitching problem in the rotation we have... could some of the problems came from inconsistent catcher calling the games... i know its been said that tek was phenomenal at calling the games and as much as i love tek and would love for them to resign him as a back up role not a split time with salty role is salty really the kid we are going forward with in our future as catcher and if so salty needs to put in the work that tek did with all the starting pitchers to get to know them and call the games in best interest of the team i know he put in a lot of work last offseason with gary tuck but i dont think it was enough
  18. heres his stats against the yankees http://espn.go.com/mlb/player/batvspitch/_/id/4454/teamId/10/mark-buehrle
  19. How so, im not going against you on this I jus really dont know his stats at fenway and am curious as to your reasoning why Buerhle isnt a good fit for boston...
  20. maybe with the right medical team he could be better... well there goes that theory with boston lol curious as to why and how a "medical team" for such a high profile team can blow it so many times within a short amount of time for our team... im glad Ben in his press conference said that would be something he was going to address as well
  21. i agree with all that is bold but dempster looks as though hes positive theo will keep him in cubs org i like CJ Wilson but the Yanks will make us overpay for him we have already expressed interest in Bruce Chen maybe we will go for him again pending a extensive physical wainwright might be a good low purchase coming off an injury Kuroda consistent but also wishes to stay with the dead dodgers... (dodgers need new FO as well and should just trade andre either to us so him and pedey can set the tone for a new era in Boston) Extensive physical for Duchscherer this kid can really pitch but something about pitchers leaving oakland and sucking big time is just a scary thought...
  22. Anyone think their is a slight chance of Theo going to Chicago letting Mike Quade go from Manager position to bring in Theo? Also what is the first order of business for Theo/Jed in the process of turning around the Cubs?
