Ben knows Theo really wants him next year as a coach for the Cubs so why not go after him the year before throw some big figures at him and we got ourselves a good manager, I would like to see either Sandberg, Alomar, or Martinez... If it was a few years back when the phillies looked to be in their unstoppable phase i would think Mackanin would have more weight but with the way phillies have finished over the last two seasons Im not as keen on him taking over

I dont think we need to get rid of tek he is a great asset with his knowledge of the staff but he needs to play way less next year as for wake please retire

Ben Cherington is a real classy guy held a great press conference and is really lucky to inherit the team in the shape that he did... not much real changes need to be made but im glad he said they will address what they will because some of it is a must

Oddly enough im probably one of the few sox fans stranded as far away as possible from my passion of the redsox I know im not alone in Hawaii with redsox fans but not much Redsox fans here that were born here... Ive yet to make it to boston and watch a game ive been to the east coast and watched a few random games marniers vs. rangers giants vs cubs but before i die i will sit in fenway and cheer for the sox this is for sure :thumbsup: before i introduced myself i kinda started to post so doing things backwards right now but thats how us hawaiians do lol we are too relaxed to do things right the first time anyways its great to finally be able to share my opinion on topics and get feed back that isnt a direct form of hate on our sox so i would like to thank everyone for keeping me connected

along with this starting pitching problem in the rotation we have... could some of the problems came from inconsistent catcher calling the games... i know its been said that tek was phenomenal at calling the games and as much as i love tek and would love for them to resign him as a back up role not a split time with salty role is salty really the kid we are going forward with in our future as catcher and if so salty needs to put in the work that tek did with all the starting pitchers to get to know them and call the games in best interest of the team i know he put in a lot of work last offseason with gary tuck but i dont think it was enough
