  1. Rick will be somebody else's problem next year. If DD's replacement signs him we are going to have an immediate firing of the replacement. We will do the Governor of Puerto Rico thing and keep canning them until the natives are satisfied.
  2. Jose Faliciano coaching 1st base for the Angels. Must be tough for a guy that is blind. Cue the music: "Tanto duelo"
  3. There is no way we keep DHern. Does not fit the Sox Front Office vaunted spread sheets. Outlier....trade him!
  4. You can be bad enough to be good...and I think Heaney fits that mold today only having given up 1 earned. You can also crawl up to just good enough to be bad. I think Rick fits that description today.
  5. Trout must have gotten tired of hearing how Fenway is the only Park in the AL he does not have a HR in....check that box!
  6. Heaney now revolting against his pitching coach, falling in love with that change and throws it to Sandy.....Sandy accepts the favor. Pitching coach pulling hair out.
  7. It is pretty amazing how often Rick has pulled off this magic act. The entire reason why he gets creamed early in games is because he has no four seam any longer yet he has to try to throw it. As soon as he abandons it or does not even try to throw it, he guts his way through batters, outs and innings. But he is truly doing it on guts alone. That much we should admire if nothing else.
  8. There was a chance of the Vaz fly hit Upton right in the head, knocking him out, clearing the bases and allowing Vaz to toddle home too.
  9. Heaney's Change prompts a quick visit to the mound. How much ya' wanna' bet the discussion started with "what the f*** was that?"
  10. Now i am not sure Heaney knows where any pitch is going. What NESN is calling a Curve isn't even a Slurve. if he is gripping it as curve it has got to be the sloppiest Curve anybody ever heard about. I got a quick look at his "Sinker" grip and it does look like he is gripping it as a two seam. But it does not act like one and he has no idea where its going.
  11. Geezus,Calhoun is a tree stump.
  12. Upton probably figures he is owed a couple of boners in the OF today. Guy is tailor made to drive his managers up the wall.
  13. Heaney has absolutely no idea where that so called Sinker is going.
  14. Ricks four seam is flat as a pancake. he can only get it to finish up if he throws it up and thats not going to get it done. He is going to have to gut it out again.
  15. A ridiculous lefty on lefty walk to Holt. Getting to the point where ti would take maybe, MAYBE the fingers of both hands to count the actual starting pitchers left in this league.
  16. I wonder if Heaney knows that his Sinker rises more than Rick's four seam does.
  17. 4,850 HR's across MLB though today or I should say at the start of today. Averaging about 285 HR's per week and now fully into hitting season. Likely will end up at about 6,800+ HR's on the year, a totally ridiculous Manfred Missile, s***** pitching number. Will likely equal previous high total for a season in about 5 months of baseball.
  18. Another idiot scorer takes a hit away from a hitter calling that X shot an error to Fletcher.
  19. Switching to EEI for audio. NESN crew has a little too much yes network in them this year and sometimes it gets pretty bad.
  20. Porcello is almost throwing BP in spite of Eck's exhortations.
  21. Eck must have taken delirium pills today. I have no idea what he thinks he is looking at.
  22. Rick just cannot get that four seam up far enough anymore. He is trying to throw it again today. Must think he found something with it. Doesn't look like it so far.
  23. 1. Kole Calhoun (L) RF 2. Mike Trout ® CF 3. Shohei Ohtani (L) DH 4. Justin Upton ® LF 5. Matt Thaiss (L) 1B 6. David Fletcher ® 3B 7. Luis Rengifo (S) 2B 8. Kevan Smith ® C 9. Wilfredo Tovar ® SS 1. Mookie Betts ® RF 2. Xander Bogaerts ® SS 3. J.D. Martinez ® DH 4. Sam Travis ® LF 5. Christian Vazquez ® 1B 6. Michael Chavis ® 3B 7. Brock Holt (L) 2B 8. Sandy Leon (S) C 9. Jackie Bradley Jr. (L) CF good grief....does this Angels team have anybody that can pitch at all. I guess that is just too much to ask of most MLB teams these days.
  24. Depends on what the teams ahead of the Sox do. That is the problem with not having many games left with the teams you are trying to catch. They could be playing a crap team too and win their game as you win yours. I think Cleveland is going to take Minnesota especially if Nelson Cruz can not come back for Minnesota. So that will move Cleveland into a Division Champ spot and make Minnesota a target.
  25. Finally ahead...why Barria kept throwing Sliders he could not throw is beyond me. FBed his way out of the game to end his stint, many Sliders too late.
