  1. What happened there V....got outsmarted did ya'
  2. That makes two fans reaching out to interfere with balls headed down the right field line last night and now this. What the f*** is wrong with these people?
  3. Don't think Papi thought that pitch was going to end up where it was. Think he figured that was headed right for his wheelhouse.
  4. What a play by Sweeney in right....after looking a little awkward out there the very first few games he played here....he has been darned good in one of the toughest RF in baseball.
  5. Geez Agons that was another good pitch to hit beaten into the ground. Yea pumps BBR. I did not look at the league totals.
  6. While 3.50 is a sporty ERA for the Sox, if we are focused on ERA, the Sox have been out-pitched by two of the three teams they have played so far this month. Nats team ERA....last 14 days = 3.20, last 7 days = 3.19 O's team ERA....last 14 day = 5.01, last 7 days = 4.69 Blue Jays team ERA....last 14 days = 3.31, last 7 days = 3.07
  7. Heck at least we got a runner all the way home and the game tied.
  8. Are the Sox not second in offense in the league? They generate offense but they don't generate much in the way of meaningful offense and that is situational hitting. That takes want to.....like WMB not taking that strike 2 and dumping it into right instead of waiting for something he could pull.
  9. The other reason at least I don't look forward to much to those guys coming back is because the remaining regulars and replacements have played over their heads and have us second in offense in the league. Can't believe the guys coming back are going to make that much of a dif to the offense and they are not going to help us pitch better. Can only play nine guys at a time.
  10. As I have said in other posts, it is the month on the whole that has me worried. I have not looked forward to this one at all. Tough games in the division, tough games in the league, tough inter-league games to play. This month is a real test.
  11. or if our hitters approached their plate appearances based on what we needed.....Strike 2 to WMB was a great pitch to take to right field...could have just stuck the head of the bat out there....got to have the attitude that I can get my team back even and let the next guy try to get you ahead....I am so sick of this s***.
  12. nice at bat WMB.....should have taken strike 1 regardless of it being a strike.....should have taken strike 2 to right field...should not have swung at strike 3 at all.
  13. Oh Christ...here we go again....our guys just get planted on the bases where they land and that is just that. Nats get one hit = 1 run.
  14. Thank you Mr Zim and thank you David.
  15. I hope Zimmerman pitches like he did in the first inning. Lester came back in his 2nd and pitched somewhat better but was still up in the zone...had more on the ball. We should have done more with Zimmerman in the 1st. Hope he stays up in the zone for us in his 2nd.
  16. What Agons seemingly has been able to take to left this year has been pitches that are on the outer half that he takes out there the way they came in. Have not seen much of that inside out this year. Has tried to "handle" stuff inside in classic fashion but has not been able to for the most part. That shot the other night was the best swing I have seen Agons put on a low inside ball this year.
  17. Thank you Adrian....Boy he got a couple pitches in that at bat that were at least pitches that he could handle....just did not do it. Don't figure to get many of those from Zimmerman.
  18. Nice piece of hitting Pedey.....
  19. C'mon Sox....answer
  20. One of the things getting tough to watch in this series is that every darned time the Nats get a guy on....they move him over...they get him in for the most part..... Sox end up with the guy growing roots out on whatever base he lands on. Surprised they don't have to pull him outta' there like a weed at the end of the inning.
  21. Lester off to a great start here....nothing pitches up in the zone...hopefully just 1st inning horse s***.
  22. Look like the Sox almost outsmarted themselves again on one of these base running play deals.
  23. Lead off double...where's pumps....game over!
  24. Whenever the Yanks or Sox play one of these younger teams, especially if they feature pitching, either team just ends up looking like a bunch of beached walruses scratchin' at their blubber. Every once and awhile they get up the energy to Argh lustily at the ump over a strike call they did not like.
  25. Exhausted from rounding the bases:D:D
