  1. Amazing how moving runners over and getting them home is lacking in baseball. Brewers/Dodgers had so many opportunities to move a runner to 3rd base and get him home and they just could not do it...in the NL no less, they just could not do it. Game 4 goes 13 innings with Dodgers winning 2-1. But this whole launch angle, advanced shift baseball thing is just ridiculous. Game was 1-1 from very early on. Don't think either team scored for 7 straight innings, 15 turns at the plate.
  2. Astros still have nobody hitting behind him and the Sox have been allowed to either pitch around him completely or pitch to him such that he can't put up a big number with one swing of the bat with somebody on ahead of him. There are short batting orders and then there are SHORT batting orders. The Astros have been pretty feeble after Springer, Altuve, Bregman and now Altuve is limping around. Their biggest weakness compared to last year has been how many holes this batting order has past Bregman. Correa is not getting it done. Gurriel is not getting it done. I really thought AJ would move Gonzalez up in the order and move Gurriel down, maybe even try to see if Correa can do more than he has done. If those guys continue to fail behind Breg the Sox are never going to feel compelled to come after him at the plate. The guy is a fabulous ballplayer, keeping the Astros in this game with his sensational fielding when he has been hampered at the plate. AJ has to do something and I suspect he has to try to do it for the Wednesday game. This park is a shoebox and you are not going to win games even in the post season with 2 runs a game. Altuve limping around may well be the straw that breaks the camels back. I don't see Porcello caving on Wednesday. Astros are going to have come out and beat him. Right now Game 5 and Sale become a pretty interesting topic if the Sox can win game 4. Game 5 oddly enough might be the best shot the Astros have of extending the series back to Fenway.
  3. You know the talking heads of baseball Media are going to make a big deal out of the similarity between Judge and his "New York, New York" thing and Bregman and his Eo/Astros HR tweet before this game. Neither worked out well for the MFY or the Astros. I don't think the Bregman tweet meant much. But, they will talk it to death.
  4. Cora must be hoping both the 8th and 9th will end before he has to bring in Erod. Either that or this 9th inning coming is about the only situation that gives him some confidence in Erod.
  5. Kelly with his new "they sent me for shock treatment" look.
  6. I don't...but the dog is wayyyyy used to it by now. Barely looks up with that "OK its only the crazy old man again" look and back to sleep.
  7. I have to admit being surprised at AJ. He is the guy that left himself one arm light using Osuna obviously intending to get him through 6 outs which I don't understand at all. He was done at just over 20 pitches...less actually. Oh my God...look at Kelly. He cut his hair after the Breg fiasco. I wonder if Cora ordered him to do it!
  8. Osuna is their version of Kimbrel. I don't know how you trust Osuna for 6 outs...Both teams have closers nicknamed Heart Attack.
  9. Unreal...I was just thinking Brasier could not come out for the 8th because he was up to 15 pitches and really should not be there for more than 20 under these circumstances and JBJ takes chump Osuna over the wall at 25 pitches!
  10. Apparently the Astros do not know about our vaunted Wild Pitch, HBP offense. A final parting gift from Farrell.
  11. What happened to all the rumpled scruffy looking GM's? They all look like they are running for Congress now.
  12. Then there is a hole in his mitt.
  13. Another cross up between pitcher and catcher
  14. West has mercy on Brasier
  15. So Cora is going to try to fit Brasier in front of Barnes. Could work out.
  16. Heck if I had to I would even consider giving Kelly a rabies shot and see if he could come in and clean up if EO got into a jam.
  17. Doesn't Cora at least have to give Eo a shot at the 7th. Cora is going to leave himself one reliever short again. If he can get Eo through the 7th, Barnes gets the 8 and then heart attack gets the 9th.
  18. Not sure that is conclusive.
  19. You da' man Eo...You da man buddy!!!!
  20. Bury McCann Eo.
  21. Pierce temporarily bails out our 3rd base corp AGAIN.
  22. Maybe the Brewers would let us borrow Moose. We could fly him back and forth from LA to Houston and back again. This is ridiculous.
  23. Can anybody play 3rd on this team. That was not even lack of footwork. That was just lazy stupid baseball by Devers.
  24. He just cannot get that Cutter to the strike zone
