Oh look, a new victim.

Problem with the pen is that the same guys are out there every game. I fail to see why my favorite pen guy IHATEHEMBREE is out there so much. He is barely a mop up guy and he is pitching in some fairly high leverage situations, ducks on the pond and stuff. Walden has been lucky more than good. Brewer sucks. Val has to start. BJ is out. Poyner sucks. Workman sucks and Thorny has yet to actually find himself. That leaves Brazier and Barnes who will shortly come out of the pen accompanied by a little cart carrying their pitching arms.

Lin with almost warning track power. Of course least we forget...that is OUT of Yankee Stadium.

Nice pitch there by Thorny to get the dribbler. For all the talk about the heat pitchers can bring, I am personally amazed at how many secondary pitches they are all throwing....in any count no less.

Mookie and X have hit the ball hard. The rest of 1-6 sucks balls and 7-8-9...well what can I say. Lin made more of a contribution than we should expect from him. So I really can't complain about the bottom with Sandy down there.

Some day our younger hitters are going to have to learn not to just give up strikes and get down in counts for it. Beni has absolutely not learned that yet for one. Beni has gone to 0-1 twice today for no particular reason other than brain dead in the batters box.

BENI bluffed a bunt into a 0-1 count. Really good idea BENI. He is having a great day along with the rest of them. THEY ARE PITIFUL....P..I..T..I..F..U..L

Almost every lineup we throw out there now has at least two black holes and in the AL, that is pretty tough to deal with. Today, Lin got a hit....shocking! So the black holes are Pierce and Sandy.

They need to get to Boyd in the bottom of this inning. Even with a reasonable pitch count he may not be long for this game. He is not getting the slider past the Sox now as they are timing up both his pitches.

Oh for the love of God. Pierce is having enough trouble without swinging at 0-0 sliders.

Eck making believe that there is something special about LH pitchers throwing 3-1 Changeup's these days. If they have them, they are throwing them in any count these days.

OK Boys I get why you are swinging early in counts. But at least get a FB. He only has two pitches. So why would you swing at an 0-0 slider BENI

Since Boyd does not have a change we are going to see a good deal of early count swings from Sox hitters.

So Boyd is a LH starter that cannot even threaten to throw a Change to a RH Hitter. This should be interesting.
