  1. What else is the crowd to do. This game is like walking in your front door and getting tagged right there with a Right Cross that you never saw coming. "Yea I am a little quiet while I try to regain conscience."
  2. I get the impression that they have to stay on Rafi every second just to extract decent 3rd base play out of him.
  3. mmmmmmm....Garin caught in a rainstorm. Great minds think alike!
  4. all right...More Garin air time. She looks better by the minute at the rate this team is going.
  5. If I extrapolate Dever's HR's after 80-90 AB's across an entire season, for 500 AB's he will have .......zero HR's
  6. This entire team is caving in on itself. Everything that went well last year is going poorly this year. Went it all goes wrong like this, you can point to individual players all you want to, this team was not prepared at all to come into the regular 2019 season, now looks befuddled at their lack of success and a bit down in the mouth. That points to lack of preparation and lack of focus across the board. Does anybody know if we kept Tony LaRussa upstairs or did we figure that Cora had this after a Championship season and cut La Russa out.
  7. Well there is no light switch turnaround in the works for our Sox it appears. Instead they have at least so far stopped the flow of blood and are playing .500 ball... sort of... which makes it quite a struggle to actually get to a .500 record. At this rate they will be 10+ games out by June. To the extent that its a grind back and not a light switch, night and day dif is more proof for how unprepared the whole team was to start the season with a paltry few exceptions. Might have been more obvious through the lens of the rotation, but the whole team was somewhere in orbit way out around Pluto as the regular season started. Seeing Chavis is fun but lets face it, that was a desperation move which will look even more desperate if a guy that was not depended on to be here at all works his way onto the 25 man for a longer stay.
  8. He is not fleet enough and he is not attentive enough to pull that horse s***.
  9. That is where that pitch has to be LH pitcher to RH batter.
  10. Price's Change has got to have more action on it than that. Man have we thrown that pitch inconsistently to just flat poorly so far this year....across the rotation. He is not going to get many guys out right in the middle of the plate like that.
  11. Just got home from cleaning up something of a family mess. So did not even have the radio going. 3 innings, no runs??? Please tell me Morton is not also pitching a no hitter so far.
  12. Sorta' funny.....Broadcast crew trying to peddle its Chavis good news...meanwhile Tigers put up 3 runs almost without them even noticing.
  13. A freaking Pesky Porcello.
  14. Erod staying out of the zillion pitch area early in the game was a big deal to me. He just never does that. Usually up to 50+ pitches after 3 innings. So along with just giving up the 1 run, I thought it was a pretty significant effort for ERod. Now can he repeat that? I have no idea. Probably have doomed myself to not posting anytime Erod gets out of the 1st inning with less than 20 pitches and no runs given up.
  15. Terrific start for ERod. There was really nothing else I felt like talkin' about but I was afraid to jinx him. So I just refused to post until he was out of the game.
  16. That the B's got past a team that was tailor made to cause them maximum issues is a big deal. There are better teams out there than Tornonto....none of them present the speed issues the Leafs presented. This next club is exactly the opposite team from the Leafs. Could be interesting.
  17. Rafi is athletic. He just does not get into an athletic position pre-pitch unless half the coaches and half the infield is barking at him. He has always been able to make those plays coming in bare handed if he can get to the ball. It appears to be his favorite play. Frustrating because those are the plays that show off his athletic ability. But the only way to make plays left to right or going back is to assume an athletic position pre-pitch, not on your heels, not with your feet too close together, not with your knees locked, not any of that. Those plays Rafi has made to left and right the last couple of days, you have no shot at if you are not in an athletic position pre-pitch. In fact, you won't make as many bare handed plays coming in from Rafi's usual posture either.
  18. I suspect the Sox coaching staff and Pedey and X have been on Devers big time of late. You cannot make the plays he has been making lately from his usual, non-athletic, looks like he is waiting for a bus while he chews on his glove pre-pitch position. Probably no coincidence that Dever's "transformation" occurred coincidence with Chavis appearance in a Sox uni either.
  19. They are just toying with Pierce. He is taking bugs bunny swings now.
  20. How do you take 6 walks and 2 HB's and end up with no runs? That is actually hard to do.
  21. He has no idea where the ball is going. So NO...he has no idea what he is doing. He is missing locations by two feet.
  22. Turnbull is the walking, living breathing definition of DANGEROUS. He is so wild he has got hitters backing off the plate a couple inches and the RH hitters have antsy feet in the box. Can you blame them? Its not like he is just wild. He is wild right at them! This is where I agree with plunking somebody with a two seam right in the ribs. If the Tigers are going to keep this clown out there inning after inning it is about the only way to say...hey enough already. He has already thrown it right at Mookie's head, plunked JD right on the elbow, walked a basket full and plunked another.
  23. This guy has JD backed off the plate. I don't blame him. But it did cost him.
  24. My only real complaints are IHATEHEMBREE and Work. Neither should come into anything but a clean inning. I don't care who else you have to call on....Donald Duck....the guy in Seat 21/AA/10. I just don't care as long as its not Hembree or Work. The Sox have no choice but to overuse Barnes and Brazier. What the f*** else are they going to do?
