Let's stop putting Crawford and Lackey in the same category. Their situations are polar opposites. Lackey, from day one, has been a bad seed, a wing nut, a devisive jerk. Crawford seems to actually care - I think his performance was negatively affected in part by the atmosphere in this dysfunctional clubhouse. Imagine leaving Joe Madden's team nirvana like atmosphere and coming to what sounds like a menagerie of egotistical *******s who cared only about themselves. If the Sox can weed out these bad seeds, he will rebound. Management allowed this atmosphere to develop - they should refund our money. Let's stop selling out this ballpark in April and send them a message.

I don't blame Crawford at all for this stuff. Yes, he should have produced more, but perhaps he didn't because he showed up to this clubhouse zoo and said to himself, "WTF am I doing here? Nobody told me these guys were so f***ed up!" add that to his newness and huge contract and I can see that doing a number on a new guy who cares. Lackey just doesn't care, period. He was described as a "bulldog" - let's change that to "bully". Consider how much of a jerk he was in front of 37,000 people - imagine what an ******* he was behind closed doors. I think he was the most poisonous of all and he needs to go. Youkalis is a jerk as well - a real hot head. Remember his comments about Ellsbury last year? From the looks of it, Jacoby paid I bit more attention to his body than Youk did. Now, Youk is broken down. Ells contributed far more in 2 of his 3 years than Youk ever did.I heard that Youk continued to rag on Jacoby this season. Management really blew this - they should have exercised Tito's option mid season and told the players that "THIS is your boss for as long as you are here - toe the line or you are gone." Now they have the psychos running the asylum.

How does Teflon Theo get away without blame here? Did he think he was making a slick move by paying a little less for Lackey rather than going after Cliff Lee? Look at his list of failures: shortstops, the be speckled reliever from TX, Martinez(essentially getting nothing for DMat), Mazusaka, JD Drew, Lackey, Crawford(although I still think he might produce some day), Jed I have more injuries than anyone Lowrey.
