  1. Here in Columbus... our AAA affiliate Columbus Clippers used to be the farm team for the Yankees (nothing to brag about). The yanks seem a little too affeminant to me. Im all about the working class heros in Boston. I like the gritty get-it-done mentality.
  2. Been an actual fan since today. No really! I just got tickets for my first game on 8/7 vs the Yanks. No im not a bandwagon fan... you guys in boston have the best tradion in the history of the game. Coming from a guy in Ohio!
  3. Thanks BigPapi! I'll be sure to practice between now and August 7th.... now for the accent!
  4. So where to go before/after the game... i heard that jacko hangs out at a place called "the manhole". jk jacko. Im trying on this now boston attitude thing to make sure it fits.
  5. No... i cant say im really a bandwagon fan. I think you guys have a GREAT thing there in Boston. I wish we had it. I'm not really the type the winning teams around - just a guy who has always had an affinity for tradition.
  6. Lol! Well Jacksonianmarch. I'm an OSU alum.... but am turning my attention away from our lack luster state of sports in Ohio. As far as Baseball goes... we have 2 teams (well - they both really only add up to about .3 combined). I want to see the best so making for the game. Whats with the pink hat... no really - im a novice.
  7. All - I'm a new convert to the greatness that is the Boston Red Sox. I acutally live in Ohio and landed some tickets for the August 7th game vs the Yanks. Needless to say... i'll be hopping on a plane on that Sunday morning and will be arriving with plenty of time to check out some bars (i heard Boston fans are good at that) and will head over to the game. So my question is... what should i expect from this heated rivelry? what will the atmosphere be like? Are there any traditions that i should take part in while there? Well, other than laughing in the face of the opponent? Thanks for any getting this novice up to speed. See you a the game!
