I would be ok with that. Yankees have made it further than I am comfortable with. I can't see a sweep unfortunately but even if they lost 4 games to 1 I would be ok with that.

I was wondering why we have this as well as I have not seen this on other forums.... But the rival between the Yanks and Sox is like none other between any other two teams in any sport. It doesn't bother me what so ever...... I found it strange at first but now I don't even notice it. When the Yanks were playing the Guardians I actually made a few comments in there with some of the Yanks fans. Believe it or not...... Not all Yanks fans are douchebags. You get a lot no doubt about it but there are some on this forum that are very nice people to talk with actually. The Yankees are a rival but at the end of the day it wont kill us to have a Yankees board so we can talk to other posters about their team (as long as they aren't *******s) which I have been apart of this board for going on 7 years and haven't seen to many jerks. Usually the jerks create an account quick make a rude comment and take off. The others are pretty good people it seems. -
The high and the roll the Yankees are on from winning a huge wild card game against Minnesota, and then beating the 2nd best team in the league..... It wouldn't shock me in the least to see them give Houston a hell of a series. Should be a good one.

Wow, might be a good pickup for the Yankees or whoever gets him as long as the asking price is decent. Tough to say with inconsistent pitchers or pitchers that are injured quite a bit what they will ask for.

I almost forgot about Darvish. I just remember his last start for Texas was ugly..... but didn't follow him much once he signed with the Dodgers a little over a month ago. I think as soon as he signed with the Dodgers he missed some time with a bad back. Might be a risky sign depending how much money he asks for.

I think Sonny Gray isn't a bad pitcher at all. He had some very nice games this year. I agree I am not sure he is a solid #2 but he is a good pitcher to have in the rotation. I doubt the Yankees hold on to this rotation going forward though especially with CC getting up there in age. Yankees might go after another pitcher in the off season.

Yup couldn't agree more. We are the laughing stock of the Playoffs the last two seasons. Swept last year and won 1 game this year. It's embarrassing. Being last in home runs bit us right in the ass..... Not to mention having our 2 hottest pitchers (Sale & Poms) Stink it up in game 1 and 2. Being down 2-0 to the talents of Houston is a tough hole to climb out of. Winning 3 straight over a team like that is slim to none. Disgusted with how this year turned out. Even worse with the Yankees advancing..... I still can't see the Yanks beating Cleveland, Houston and then whoever they play in the World Series.... Likely the Dodgers. If they do I will hide under my bed for the next couple years.

As long as the Yankees pitching doesn't implode like the Red Sox they should stand a good chance. You need your starters to go at least 4 innings against Houston (something the Red Sox couldn't do the entire series) We got down early and often the first 2 games to Houston and had zero chance. The Yankees should be able to make it a good series. My god a team that beat Cleveland, Houston and LA if they make the World Series could go down as one of the toughest mountains to climb to win a World Series ever. That would be pretty impressive.

The Yankees are definitely a special team. A much different year for them in regards of making the playoffs through Wild Card and going on a run..... Finding ways to win even if it's pretty or not has been the Yankees year round. Definitely a good year for this team that is in a rebuilding stage and has a chance at making the World Series. I was pulling for the Guardians last night but honestly the Yanks played a hell of a series. Going to be a nasty dog fight against Houston.

Much sadness for Cleveland as their World Series win will have to wait at least one more year. Was really pulling for them last night. With that said hats off to the Yankees...... I never thought in my wildest dreams the Yanks would come back and win 3 straight. Jesus I am still in shock this morning.

Well he did kind of...... We won a World Series under him regardless if people think it was because of him or not. I know we sure as hell didn't amount to jack under Bobby V..... In fact that was a train wreck that year. JF got us 3 division titles, 2 back to back and a World Series. He did his part for us. It's unfortunate but there are high expectations in Boston. This isn't a small market team like Tampa or Oakland. Even with the division titles getting swept last year and only winning 1 game this year in the post season is not a pretty look for a manager especially when you have a top 5 pitching rotation. It is what it is..... Most people got their wish and he is gone. I still wish him the best of luck in the future. And here is hoping we don't get another Bobby V type manager next season.
