    Agreed with this. However if Eovaldi keeps pitching the way he did in the playoffs I would be fine with either or. The man didn’t cave once in high pressure games.

    I was just thinking this. I don't have anything to add right now. Certain things we can say that maybe will slightly improve the team. But when Boston went 11-3 in the post season and two of those series were against teams with 100 wins or more...... That is a dynamic team. Just enjoying the aftermath right now. I will get my World Series hat today!

    Jealous!!! What an amazing special year this team has provided for the fans! It’s been amazing! 04,07 and 2013 were something special. This year just adds to the legacy that is the Boston Red Sox!!!

    Agreed with this. Only thing about 2004 was that I was 17. And just started liking baseball a couple years before. I didnt understand how special baseball and the Sox would become to me. So 2007 was pretty amazing for me.

    Agreed! My anxiety was sky high in the Houston series especially when they won game 1. Once we won that Series I honestly didn't think the Dodgers would give us any trouble. Maybe game 6 at most.

    Good call lol! Poor Dodgers fans. Part of me wonders if we played a team like the Cubs would it have gone to game 6 or 7?

    Super cool to see vintage Rose out there. However it cost me in my lottery pool. Was the only game I lost, otherwise I would have won 150 bucks. Grrrr stupid Jazz.

    The thing is, The Sox organization and coaching staff won't use Sale as a closer (even if it is a good idea) He is just simply too good of a starting pitcher to be used in one inning. Only way I see this happening is if Kimbrel walks and we don't have a closer, and Sale says that is what he wants to do for a year.

    This. Pitchers don't often come up as clutch as he did in 3 straight games in the playoffs not to mention pitching out of the bullpen.

    I know I'm one of very few, but I don't mind Joe Buck. He can be a bit annoying at times and says some really dumb things, but when gets amped up on a big play I enjoy it lol.

    Agreed with this. So much more respect for him after the Dodgers series. The heart that guy has for the game is like none other. I'm happy he will be playing here next year.

    This! It works out both ways for us. He stays we have a fantastic pitcher. If he opts out we will just find someone els. We will still have a deep core and with the way this bullpen pitched I think we will be fine next year. Although Kelly is a free agent which sucks. Regardless keeping the core of this team we will be competitors again next year with Sale and Porcello and E Rod. Losing price don’t get me wrong would suck. But it wouldn’t break this team. From top to bottom we are pretty stacked. But with that said I highly doubt Price leaves. He genuinely seems to love this team, just won a World Series, and is getting a lot of money. It would make absolutely 0 sense for him to leave before his contract is up.

    Would love to see these teams battle. We dominated in the playoffs but overall 2004 was a special team. 04, 07,13 and now 2018. Different looks and different ways of winning. All have been fun to watch.
