  1. wtf.... It doesn't really surprise me I guess.... He is super weird and I heard stories he was abusive with his ex wife and stuff. Guess people go weird when their career goes downhill.
  2. How about just give credit where credit is due? Oakland beat us soundly the first series and no pitcher played well against that team. Porcello has actually been very solid his last 3 starts..... Not just this one. Next to Price he actually is our most consistent pitcher right now. Sale still seems off though he wasn't horrible his last start, and E-Rod s*** the bed completely his last start. Porcello started slow and now his last three starts he has really turned it around.
  3. To be fair I think mvp 78 is just a very forward guy and speaks his mind. He has done it to me a few times where it seems like it's a shot but I think that is just how he is lol. We are all friends on here and like each other for the most part but right now with the Sox struggling (seemingly getting a lot better) there will always be difference of opinions. The thread I started "Should Porcello be resigned" Hell it seems about 80 percent of the board doesn't agree with me.... Some just share their words different than others lol.
  4. So....... we aren't all getting together for a Seagal marathon?
  5. Lol!! His older stuff isn't too bad.
  6. I’ve noticed since watching Steven Seagal movies we have been playing better. Guess I’ll have to keep with the Seagal marathon. His new movies are so bad
  7. Hell of a win!!! Condolences to the Bruins.
  8. The cool thing is we have a couple easy series after this so we can really get on a role. I would be a little sketched out if we had Houston and the Yankees coming up.
  9. Porcello was a god tonight. That is all.
  10. Hahaha. Could be both. But probably lack of prep.
  11. Rick. You turn me on when you play like this.
  12. Porcello is very very good tonight.
  13. Ya he has been off but who knows. Could just be a slow start and trying to figure things out. Hopefully it’s not an injury. He doesn’t seem in pain or anything.
  14. Tyler likes these starts.
  15. Starting tonight this streak grows and hopefully to 9 straight victories. With the White Sox and Orioles coming up it's very doable.... No better time to get on a streak than against some bad teams. Maybe with this team turning the corner and getting victories in the coming schedule we can get some much needed revenge against Seattle in that series. If we can't do it now against struggling teams like Oakland, Chicago and Baltimore..... Well then I have zero hope for this team lol.
  16. Exactly! And the Sox (at least not yet) have shown me nothing but inconsistency.... Hope they turn it around at some point in which it's not too late.
  17. Well said! Not to mention, the Yankees have a lot of injuries..... They are still winning games and are 9-1 in their last 10. One would believe they will only get better as the season goes on. The Yankees were a playoff team last year so there is really no reason to doubt them again this year especially with how they are playing right now. It doesn't make me feel much better about our chances saying "I doubt the Yanks will compete or hold up this kind of play the rest of the year" because it seems as the season progresses the Yanks just keep winning. Right now however the Sox just need to focus on themselves and their play. The offense needs to be more consistent (big time) and same with the rotation (Price basically is the only starter I trust right now) E-Rod seemed to have got it together, but then last night happened..... Porcello has been pretty good, we will see what he can deliver tonight for us. Regardless, until this team gets a bit more consistent on both sides of the ball I am not worried about the Rays or the Yanks because we won't make the playoffs regardless if they slow down with our play right now. We obviously are playing better but we are still playing .500 baseball. Until that improves that just won't be good enough to get us into the playoffs.
  18. I agree. I have been saying that quite a bit this year.... However....somehow.... even with the injuries the Yanks have, they just keep continuing to win. I guess once a team hits their stride it's tough to stop them. I was hoping the Sox hit theirs with the sweep over Tampa.
  19. I agree with all the comments above. I’m not in panick mode by any means. However being in the division we are with Tampa (who has the number one record in the league) and the Yankees who have won 9 of their last 10 it’s definitely getting tighter as the year goes even though it’s still super early. But anywho we won last night. Let’s go streaking!
  20. Not saying you’re wrong..... however. After we were nearly swept by Seattle people said we will turn it around. Then we lost to Oakland. People said we will turn it around in Arizona. We also lost that series. We said we would turn it around at home. We split with the Jays and Detroit. Sort of got it together with a sweep over Tampa. Only to lose back to back to them a couple days ago. Just curious...... when is it a good time to panic? Seems everyone just keeps saying “too early to panic, we will turn it around” but we don’t seem to turn the corner. So I ask.....: when can we start worrying about where we sit division wise? Telling you now if we are out by double digits come the All Star Break. I HIGHLY doubt we make playoffs.
  21. We are 6-4 in our last 10. That dreadful start really cost us...… Had we even started something like 6-4 we would be in a wildcard spot and just behind Tampa. That nasty slow start may cost us.
  22. Maybe we should Barnes to the starting rotation lol.... E-Rod can take his place in the bullpen. But yes Barnes is shaping up to be quite the weapon if he keeps this up. The guy can close games, or been brought in for multiple innings. He is definitely a good player to have!
