    Great post. I completely agree with you. Overall, he's had a good, almost great year.

    Royals beat the Rays 11-1. Sox have a 1.5 game lead. Why can't KC play the Rays more often?

    That seems to happen to every young pitcher nowadays. Like Strasburg, he has a great rookie year and then gets hurt.

    Well, we've won big games when we needed too. This Saturday was one, last Saturday was one, and last Wednesday was one. Those wins kept us from going into a slide.

    Hellickson going for the Rays today in KC, their worst SP ERA wise.

    The Rays SP isn't going away, but their offense easily can. If it wasn't for Longoria, the Rays could have been swept by NYY. They are going out west this weekend for 10 games, and those AL West parks are all pitcher friendly. The Rays rely on the long ball too, so a pitcher's park can easily shut them down.

    You really don't need a thread to talk about OPS. That doesn't necessarily score runs either.

    BTR's mojo has been king this season, with RSFFL not far behind. I'm sitting in the cellar.

    It's certainly possible. We got Doubront, Lackey, and maybe Lester, maybe Dempster for the O's series. White Sox suck, so we can do it.
