Here goes. Scutaro isn't trying, either. He is just going through the motions. He is another player for the Red Sox who thinks he is much better than he is. He already lost his starting spot. Does he want to lose his roster position, too? I hope he gets better. OK?

It isn't the pitching coach or the hitting coach...anyone can sit down, review a bunch of film, see what has changed from last year or from more successful times and fix it (unless it's an injury).....it's the players...go back to spring training and look at how they performed.....and I don't mean wins and losses...I mean who showed up to play (most of them took time off to rest, play golf, etc.).....they are going thru their spring training now....trying to get into "baseball" shape...heads and bodies. They are going thru the motions...letting pop flies drop.....stupid baserunning....poor strategic managing (always a problem with Fran-COMA)....they look like clowns with the beards, soul patches, etc.....and now they are playing like clowns.....and for you delusional fans who believe they can turn it around, perhaps they can, but, remember, no one is playing good baseball in the league right now, so there is every reason to believe that then they get hot, other teams will, too and they will still be in the cellar......their season could well come down to next weekend in the Bronx....get swept, find themselves 8 - 10 games behind and mail it in for this year....

Sorry, haven't seen such a "bad" good team in a long, long time....bored, lack of interest, no fire, old, slow, playing for themselves and tremendously overpaid. Their talent may bail them out eventually, but their attitude certainly won't.....

Sox have maybe the worst third base coach in the majors......also it's bad enough that Cameron isn't doing anything to help, but now he is starting to do things that hurt.....there has to be a better outfielder somewhere in baseball....Legion? High school? Slo-pitch softball? Anywhere?

Faithful, that's the point. We aren't wining and honestly, I don't see much to change that. And that's Theo's fault. He built the team. Jenks? Crawford? (will probably be OK at some point, but we'll be 20 out by then.) Saltalamacchia? Wheeler? Come on. Plus they all played golf in Spring training instead of getting ready, opting out of game after game and now they're paying for it.

Born, Beltre signed a six-year with 5 guaranteed. His cost this year 14 (vs. Ortiz' 12.5), 15 next year, then 16, 17 and 18. With Poopie gone, Theo will have to spend close to that to get anyone anyway. Just watch Poopie hit .270 with 12 and 70, while Beltre hits .295 with 30 and 110.

Faithful, Youk, Gonzo and Beltre rotate DH, first and third. Bye-bye to Poopie. Keep those three guys rested, healthy and in the lineup, plus Gonzo could probably play the outfield if needed, as Youk did a few times last year. Theo blew this one bigtime.
