Most concerning issues with this team and the poor start.

At this point we would have to win our next eight series in order to get to a .500 average. That means that means we have to wait about a month to get back to .500 baring we turn the ship around tomorrow. I gave Crawford a break up to tonight, but seriously, at this point everyone should at least have a few good games. Everyone has had two starts now and only beckett and lester have even had 1 good outing. I am the most optimistic fan there is, but this is getting ridiculous. I am expecting a long winning streak soon or at least some consistent play or this season may be over faster than the hype surrounding it. -
This is the attitude I am talking about. When Manny and Pedro were at their primes, everyone was scared of them and they weren't scared of nothing and I loved it. Hopefully he puts more effort into helping his people than he does helping the sox win -
when pedro joined the phils a year and a half ago, he was 5-1 with a 3.63 ERA with 37 strikeouts. I know this was a year and a half ago, but Pedro is one of the greatest pitchers of this era. His presence along would bring this team up. Papi would love it and everyone would benefit from his attitude. We someone with his attitude and confidence to get anywhere this season. This team needs balls.

Dice-K blows cock. There is no way Pedro can be any worse. Even if he pitches at the same level, something even I could do seeing as he just lobbed balls over the plate, I would much rather see Pedro out there then Dice-K's sorry ass. Thoughts.

There is only one difference between manny, bonds, clemsons, mac or any other assumed or convicted steroid user. Before 2003, steroid rules were very vague and easy to get around. After 2003 steroid rules were written strictly and consequences were set. Bonds, clemons, and the others all were assumed/convicted steriod users before 2003. In fact I believe that over 50% of MLB players used steroids during this era. I mean if you were an up and coming player and saw what steroids can do and know you wont get in trouble, why wouldnt you want to do them also. I believe eventually the younger generation will have majority votes for the Hall and it will boil down to the fact that those convicted before 2003 will get passes. Those convicted after 2003 will not get in because they went against league rules and legitimately "cheated." Sorry Manny, I really wish you will get in but unfortunately "manny being manny" came back to bite him and he is leaving a cheater....unfortunate.

I really have no idea what I would offer. Half way through the season though things may change and maybe a hot prospect emerges. Anthony Ranaudo is a prospect to consider in this trade. I believe that a trade of Ranaudo, and two other prospects in addition with Papelbon could potentially get king felix. But unfortunately I do not believe we can offer a better package than the yanks so if felix is moved i do believe that it will unfortunately be to the yanks.

seattle has tried to move felix the last two trade deadlines....they just have not gotten a good enough deal for him yet, everyone is bitchin at how bad our pitching is going to be so the only way to improve it is for a trade, so no its not too early to think about it

crawford, having him and base will make the pitcher worry about him and less about gonzo at the plate, this will lead to a lot of hr's by gonzo then youk and ortiz behind him...crawford will come around, he's getting used to being on a relevant team now who's fans rip you two games into the season -
I have a strong feeling that about half way through this season King Felix will be a member of the Yanks or Sox. Both teams are going to need another good starter in order to win the World Series. The mariners will likely suck at that point in the season and will be willing to deal him. Who has the players to make this deal happen....can Pap be apart of this move?
