    Yes, but his stats reflected that he was overmatched. I understand the sample size, but you've gotta admit his ST stats didn't help him.

    I'm an idiot. I meant "Spring Training Stats mean nothing, then why is JBJ starting is AAA?" If JBJ was batting over .400 then of course he'd be our starter. It's common sense, you play the better player. Stats do matter.

    Alright, lets drop the Drew talk. We aren't gonna sign him. What do you guys think about Gomes leading off? Last year he had a .344 OBP, that is not bad at all. I just don't see Gomes as a lead off hitter though. My choice is Nava. The guy gets on base, and that is exactly what you want in a lead off spot

    This doesn't make sense for the Yankees... Cano has missed 14 games in the last 7 years. Ells has missed 264 games in the last 4 years. I would've spent the money on Cano easily, knowing what your are already getting (number wise). Injuries have seemed to plague the Yankees in the recent years, and this very well could turn into another one. I will never wish an injury on a player, but I hope this doesn't work out. What a sell out. Things like this make you appreciate players like Pedroia who take a pay cut to stay with a team who took a chance on him.

    Its whatever. I like him at closer, but if it doesn't work out we have 3 other guys that can close. Ben did a good job with this bullpen
