To tell you something about Liverpools global fan base: In Norway, a country of 4,7 million, the Liverpool Supporters Club Norway has 35.000 paying members.
When Liverpool played an off season game against Oslo team V?lerenga August 5th 2008 in Oslo, Norway, 20.000 of the 25.377 attendance were dressed in red.

Last year, Liverpool played an off season game in Bangkok in July against the Thailand national team. I was there, along with 55.000 thai supporters - almost all of them in Liverpool Shirts. Look at the amazing pictures here (some sexy thai ladies in there...) (sorry, not allowed to post links yet)
