  1. 1. So then by your own logic youre not a fan because you dont attend games. Slightly hypocritical if im honest, especially seeing as you told people "If you dont go, dont blow". 2. Yes, The Redsox and Liverpool FC could soon be sharing owners. No doubts there will be publicity and marketing designed with both teams included. The parallels between the two clubs have already been noted. Expect to see Redsox shirts for sale in the LFC store and vice versa. So yes in that sense they will have connections. The Brother/Sister club thing is just an example. 3. You started by insulting people by questioning their support and motives. Calling people 'Glory Hunters' is an insult is it not? Nuff said really.
  2. First off, were not Anti-American as you claim, were just Anti-Hicks/Gillett. We have no problem with NESV taking control of our club if they are going to provide financial stability and a winning mentality. Burning the stars and stripes was a quite stupid gesture indeed but it was done by a minority, the same kind of minority that burned a Steven Gerrard shirt a few seasons ago. Namely one that fails to think before it acts. Liverpool football club was formed in 1892, our fans have always acted with dignity and respect for our opposition (Ill explain Hysel to you in a moment), yet Tom Hicks and George Gilletts constant stream of broken promises and lies have forced our hand in recent times. We dont and have never expected to have hundreds of millions of pounds invested in players (A La Man City), we just want enough to be able to compete annually in the transfer market. We as fans would be more than pleased with 40m a year to invest in the squad.... a sum which we are currently paying in interest on leveraged debt, a debt which Hicks and Gillett promised the fans, would never happen. NESV took a chance on the Redsox when they first took charge, your team had won little apparently in the time leading up to it. A club steeped in tradition, passionate fans....... there are many parallels with Liverpool. Now ill give you a brief explanation of what happened all those years ago at Hysel stadium. Liverpool and Juventus fans had and were indulging in some silly activity leading up to kick off. The main problems started when a lone Liverpool fan entered what you would call 'No mans land', a section of terrace separated by two fences, leaving a void of empty terrace. The fan (A young lad) entered the section to tie a scarf around one of the leaning posts (Not sure exactly what its called) which is something both sets of supporters had done to this point. Upon entering, he had various missiles, bottles etc thrown at him. He made a gesture towards the Juve fans and as a result.... was set upon. We reacted......... thats it in a nutshell basically. Both sets of supporters are to blame for what took place yet because of the tragedy which befell the Juve fans we were made scapegoats. Look at our record in England, we have one of the best records in the country and have had for a long time in terms of crowd trouble and violence. There are very few arrests at Liverpool home matches and its been that way for a very, very long time. Overall though, were arent looking for a quick fix. Were just lookign for owners who will stabilize the club. Owners that will allow whatever money the club makes to be invested in the squad, staff and stadium. If you believe that these are unreasonable requests then I dont really know what to say. Liverpool Football Club is 'THE' most successful team in English football history and one of Europes most successful teams, with only Real Madrid and AC Milan having more European Cup/Champions League wins to their name. Our club isnt cancer, it is a Pheonix waiting to rise from the ashes....
