calm down, john. i'm as passionate a liverpool fan as you are, I just hate to see the minority representing the great fans of our club. we have no agenda, we just want to show how we're friendly and eager to learn from eachother about the sports we support.

another comment from a liverpool fan here - the majority of us actually hate the xenophobic, awful image that a small few are putting across with the burning of the american flag and racist comments. believe us, we have millions of faithful fans across the world, who want nothing but success and are not idiotic racist morons. your very own Samuel L Jackson and Mike Myers are supporters of our passionate club. please welcome us to the NESV family should the deal go through, and I'm sure that as two of the world's biggest sporting institutions we will do nothing but help eachother progress. best of luck to the red sox from a passionate liverpool fan! exactly the same for me, vinkopite; i'm already wishing them well and may even follow a few of their games - a week ago I didn't have much of an interest in Baseball, but looking at the passion and interest their fans show, I truly believe that Red Sox fans are our brothers across the water; I may follow some of their games in future! you took the words right out of my mouth, you explained what I couldn't put into words. hopefully what happens this week is a major partnership between two massive global sporting insitutions.

I know many of you may be getting sick and tired of a potential influx of many Liverpool fans onto your boards recently. Maybe you're arguing, or not getting on well with our fans at all - but hear me out here. Not all of us Liverpool fans are idiotic, racist, uneducated morons. In fact, of the millions of Liverpool fans worldwide, only a few are responsible for the flag burnings and protests which the rest of us view as xenophobic, racist and wrong. Hicks and Gillett do not represent your entire nation. They could easily be from any nation on the planet. And so the majority of us do not single out your country to blame. I, myself, was incredibly interested to hear of this potential deal - one of football's most prestigious and successful clubs teaming up with one of the most beloved, well supported and successful clubs in American baseball? it sounds like a mouth watering prospect. I'm not a follower of Baseball myself and I can't pretend to know what I'm talking about - but I wish the club, and their fans, success in future years whether the deal goes ahead or not. and remember, Red Sox fans: You'll Never Walk Alone.

hey, Liverpool fan here. despite what you may have read on other threads, we're not all idiotic, argumental, racist morons. I was actually incredibly interested in the link with your club. If the deal should go through, I look forward to how our clubs may work together. Now, I don't know much about baseball myself - think you could educate me, and if need be, I'll help you understand football (or soccer, as you call it.)
