    That was an awesome story! I can't say that I'm surprised that Clancy had some inside connections. His knowledge of military technology has always baffled me. In honor of all this "October" talk... I've decided to adjust my avatar to something more fitting, with a serious dose of wishful thinking for good measure. Tomorrow's a new day, new game. Go Sox.

    Ha ha, yea... it's from the SNL skit where a fake (and funny) Sean Connery was on Jeopardy and said the following (read it out loud in your best Sean Connery voice): "Well ya were wrong, ya mountebank. I poshe a conundrum to ya, a riddle if you will. What'sh the differensh between you and a mallard with a cold? One'sh a shick duck... I can't remember how it endsh, but yea, ya mother'sh a whore." I dunno... can't shake hearing him say it...

    Is that the fastest recorded pitch in the MLB? Curious, because my son said he heard someone pitched 107, and I thought that was damn near impossible. But 105 is close. Who's the fastest all time?

    Nats are one of those teams that when I see them play, I usually feel a little bit sorry for them. This news must be devastating to those guys, and even more so for Strasburg. What a bummer!
