Which is a asinine thing to keep Thomas around. The guy is a career minor leaguer. Couldn't even make it in Pittsburgh.
And if he's ask to face Pena today and walk him/give a HR... he'll still be around till Miller/Hill return.
Bowden doesn't have any real pitch to get hitters out in key situations. His stuff is 91-92 fastball that has no movement. At times I seen him ideal it to 94-95 but it still get bang around. The only lost here was they held onto him while his value peak in 2009.
I hope he gets a chance with a NL club like San Diego, where he could just let their OF have adventures catching flyballs.
