    BTW, Nava OBP vs lefties is .333 this year, while hitting better than platoon MacDime that lit up lefties with a .200 BA.

    No he is not throwing well. He gives up leads when the team gives it to him. He doesn't have an out pitch, or an offspeed to get hitter out in front to roll the ball over. He is allowing more line drive this year, nearly 25%. Nearly 10% over his average from 2008-2011. This explains the 'luck' as you deemed it, ball hit on a line is a hit 70% of the time. So it explains why is he allowing more hits this season. His K/9 also drop this season.

    FIP doesn't measure efficiency. Lester isn't doing that. He has too many high pitch count.

    Every staff depends on its 1-2-3 starters. This team has 2 that are regulars on the DL (Lapcase and Fries Buckett). Until that change, they won't get anywhere. And worse the #1 has regress into a middling back end starter.

    When I go pee during games, usually it's relievers coming in and the results are often piss poor.
