    Lackey is a top 10 starter in the AL. And the Sox pays him 500K next season, why the hell would they want to get him out of town? Maybe pay him the money save from Dempster retirement with a 1 year extension for $15M. So he is paid $15.5M for the next 2 season. Lester return for a playoff aspiration club could be huge. His post-season track record is amazing. 2.10ERA in 76IP. Top it with Koji in the trade, we should get a blue chipper in return. And Buccholz/DOubront are on their last legs here. One more injury/ineffectiveness stretch, both may never start a game again for us in 2015. Clay is quite an ass to deal with. Both have replacements by Workman and De La Rosa.
