One of my biggest issues with Farrell is pulling pitchers at the wrong time. Last night, the battered bullpen could use another inning out of E-Rod, who was cruising with just 93 pitches. Ziegler was due to face a lot of lefties and he has a huge split. Then there is just the opposite, he would leave a starter in too long. Buchholz is their long man, he has only TWICE pitch over 1 inning as a reliever. That's right, the long man is the forgotten one. There's been many starters struggles in the time Buchholz was in the bullpen, Wright, Price and Pomaranz.
Just the other night, Pom-Pom only go 5.1 IP, you need innings out of the long man. Win the f***ing game that night. Who cares if Clay is the Saturday starter. You could call somebody up to pitch against the hapless Dbacks in his place.
