    You don't really great speed as a lead off hitter. The OBP is more important and excellent instinct on the bases, both which describes bogaerts.

    Porcello was also really good in the 2nd half of 2015. I wouldn't worried unless he starts to walk and shows nothing. Right now it's inconsistent command. He wasn't great in early 2016 either. The shrunken strike zone affects his inside pitches. He is not getting those close calls as often. It also a case they never score when Porcello pitches. Every time he has to be under pressure for no less than perfection.

    Xander is somebody with a high OBP and little power, that's a natural candidate to bat 1st. He also is a good base runner.

    he lengthens this lineup his defense doesn't go to sleep. don't know what it means for Benni, does he hit clean up again where he struggles?

    Beside that HR by Carter in the 4th, Porcello is pitching well. The HR is burning him this year.
